Wow...I am officially the worst blog keeper upper person ever. I'm long overdue for an update, so here we go:
1) I'm home for the summer and it's amazing. I've been going to a ton of shows, which makes me oh so very happy. The Terror show back in May was amazing and made me realize how much better the shows are here than out in California. He Is Legend last month was ...interesting. I almost got in a fight with this 200lb redneck and his 250lb girlfriend. It was pretty intense, but luckily nothing too bad happened. Last week I saw Horse The Band, which is a close second for the best show night ever. Chris, the drummer, never messaged me back to let me know if we were going to be able to hang out. So, I was really scared that he wouldn't remember who I was, but there was no need for that. In between songs, I thought I heard someone say my name. Next thing I know I hear, "Where's Jordin?" Low and behold, Chris is looking for me in the middle of their set! So pretty much, myself and my friends got to watch from the side of the stage and spent all night hanging out with Chris and I didn't get home until 7am. Good times...Anyhoo, I'm going to SOTU in Myrtle Beach next week, which should be awesome.
2) I still don't have a job. I'm working on it though, I swear. I might get an internship with a brand new label in the area, so I have my fingers crossed that the A&R rep. calls me back soon. I really really want this to work not only because it would be an amazing experience, but it would also give me a chance to help build something from the ground up.
3) I'm still single, which sucks, but oh well...
4) I'm starting my own booking agency with two of my friends out at school. I can't wait until we start planning our first show. I love the idea of making a name for myself early on in life and getting started in the industry now. It's all so exciting!!!
Hmm...I think that about covers it for now. I suppose I'll leave whoever actually reads this with a thought: Why is it that people don't realize that every decision they make will always affect other people?
