I just found out the trailer for Land of The Dead will be on... XXX2.

Fuck.

Looks like we're running XXX2 for approximately 10 minutes, then leaving the theater and walking over to our DTS one to enjoy Hitchhiker's.

Tomorrow, the last day of work! After that, a fucking vacation. smile

I have this sudden urge for a Jew-fro.

But I guess I'll stick with my boring, "it's... um... still there, at least" hair. I think I could eventually turn it into something like Trent Reznor's.

I finally found a copy of Husker Du's Zen Arcade on CD.(:lovesmile In, of all places, Best Buy. So very happy about finally having it on something other than a...

I'm looking across your favorites, and noticed that you definitely have a "type" *zingzing* Can you see the similarities?
aislin:
Round-ish faces, round noses w/ a slight upturn, similar pout. I don't think Maxi looks like the others. They all kind of look like Ali.

Of all the songs on Elevator to fall in love with, I think I've fallen in love with "Jingle Jangle" -- a song of pain and suffering, really ("another day, another night, another year/another smile, another lie, another tear"). The hopeless romantic falling in love with the song of painful romance. Who saw that coming?!

Now that my sarcasm has been brought across, I'll point...

The new Hot Hot Heat album, Elevator, is pure sugar.

And that's the greatest compliment for them ever.

"Nobody likes you, everyone left you, they're all out without you, having fun!"

That is such a depressing way to start a song.

Sin City was awesome. It's definitely something I'm looking forward to seeing a second or third or fourth time in a theater at the end of the month. Knockout performances by all involved, brilliant CG and cinematography, and blah blah blah. To...

Sin City tonight.

Arsenic And Old Lace tomorrow.

Hot Hot Heat's new album on Tuesday.

And then nothing to do until the end of the month.

Gabba gabba hey.

And, for all Rob Zombie fans out there: a more full trailer for The Devil's Rejects will be with most copies of Sin City -- in the can, most likely, since a lot of studios only...

I've not spoken of My Precious Life, have I?

Hmm. I suppose I haven't. It just happens to be a 5-piece band of high-schoolers, a dropout, and the required much older band member, in this case the drummer. And they tore down their local high school auditorium less than a week ago.

I wasn't there, but the story's still kinda interesting, so I will share...

Well, it's official: the last Saturday in April (aka the last day of April, period) will be spent with some good eats and then a trip down to Basin City to watch Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, and Bruce Willis raise some "hypernoir" chaos. Unanimous vote, actually, although Sid said "either", so I flipped a coin for her choice. (Heads for Hitchhiker's, tails for Sin.)

Now...

I'm homesick for MA, so I'm going to give you my worthless random opinion concerning Boston restaurants...

Best Italian...Artu's, north end

Best place to eat when you're drunk...News, Chinatown

Best sushi...Ginza, Chinatown

Best chowder/bisque...Union Oyster House or Legal Seafood, theater dist

Best bakery...Modern Bakery, north end

Sorry to co-op your journal, but I couldn't let you eat at a chain restaurant...

Dude, I'll make a suggestion too. What kind of restaraunt are you looking for? Also, DON"T go see movies at Fenway or Alewife. There are SOOOOO many people on their phones and getting up to walk around and whatnot. Those two theatres have definately ruined many a movie for me.

Movies I've seen in theaters so far this year:

The Aviator (I think I saw this after the new year began)
Million Dollar Baby
Elektra
Constantine
Be Cool
The Jacket
Robots

Movies I'll likely be seeing before the end of summer:
The Ring Two
Steamboy
Oldboy (again)
Sin City
Sahara
The Amityville Horror
The Interpreter
A Lot Like Love
Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Kingdom...

So the new Rolling Stone's cover is of a certain Doctor of Journalism. I couldn't be happier to see that he's being respected by the magazine that is more gonzo than the rest.

Now onto the actual entry.

I want to be negative right now, but I can't. My anger isn't quite centered towards anything, and I only feel a little deprived of enjoyment, somewhat...
