Last night I found myself staring at the ceiling, wondering what Richard Grieco has been up to since 21 Jump Street. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep until I found out.

And that's how insomnia works in my brain. Get up, look up Richard Grieco's career on IMDB, go back to bed and sleep like a baby.

I was addicted to that show. I had a huge 14-year-old crush on Johnny Depp. I also had a huge crush on a guy at my high school who looked like Johnny Depp. Neither of the two ever asked me out.

Some people I know couldn't get away with writing a journal entry about it every time they eat fried chicken, but I can.

In other words, I've really got nothing to say.

Today's update is all about the horrible things people do to their children that make my days so full of mirth.

I talked to a guy today, and his name was seriously Bandit T. Outlaw. I asked him if that was the name his parents gave him, and he said it was. I like to think his middle name was Trucker. Oh Bandit Trucker Outlaw,...

I like the coffee yarn. What are you going to make out of it?

Anything with coffee gets my approval.

And all the greyhounds we saw were very friendly and very sweet. You should get one smile

For the first time in ages, I had a sinus headache so horrible I had to go home from work. And just because I wasn't miserable enough, I guess, I got stuck in the elevator for an hour on my way out.

I've had a nap and sandwich now, so I'm feeling fine.

The elevators in my building are death traps. The old ones require a strange voodoo ritual of button pushing to operate, the really old one has a gate, the fancy high-tech new ones are neither fancy nor high-tech, and the freight elevator usually smells of garbage or solvents and is fond of stopping between floors. Everybody here has big calves.

I get these headaches if I forget to eat, They run straight back from my eye out the back of head and down my neck. It sucks. Glad you're feeling better.

I make a rule of never talking about my day job. It's just not interesting. Today I will make an exception to tell you two things:

My boss told me that keeping my hair out of my eyes with paperclips was an inappropriate use of office supplies, and I'd better watch myself. She was totally serious. I had to step on my own toe really...

I plan to spend this weekend boiling yarn in chopped up fruits and vegetables, and making papier mache heads. This weekend cannot come soon enough.

Update: While driving yesterday, I saw the Vegetablambulance. It made me wish I had a digital camera. Some very clever person at a local co-op bought and painted an old ambulance as a delivery truck. I wanted to run them...

A pack of happy, friendly dogs running rampant should be required in every workplace. It made my goddamn day.

I want my workplace to just be a pack of happy dogs. That sounds about right.

I have decided that if it is at all possible for me to knit for a living, I'm going to do it. Be prepared to see some fantastic things from me.

Seriously.
