Gonna plead not guilty.

Here's hoping.

(Three god damn comments for my tear my heart out entry last week? Christ people. Do you want me to show my balls or something?

ARRR!!!

UPDATE: Yea, I beat the rap. Free like OJ. Gonna have my $115 sent back to me. Finally, the justice...

So I've decided this hockey thing kinda sucks.

I mean, it's great and all. The friends I've made. The places I've been. It's been great.

But driving five or six hours just to work two or three games for lousy money isn't worth it. Between expensing my hotel room and spending money on gas, I'm actually paying to referee a lot of games. Most of...

So I'm thinking about bailing on SG.

It just seems like I don't really fit in with the whole thing as I thought I did. At first it was great. Met some really cool people and then all that kinda slowed down. Haven't really seen any SGs lately that really stir my pot. All the older girls are really where it's at.

It also seems...

Quick lesson kids (and Kayne West) ...the AP...the Associated Press...is not the AFP...'Agence France-Presse.

Some things get lost in translation.

That being said, I'm tired already of people criticizing the president for the lack of federal relief effort in the areas ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Those who are fortunate enough to have television are only seeing New Orleans and parts of Mississippi and Alabama. We're...

One...one freaking comment?

Geez, you all do really hate me now, don't you?

Anyway, I got a call back from Allentown today. They decided to go with someone with more experience. The editor was very nice about it. Said that I beat out 22 other candidates, it's just that someone beat me. Oh well, it's kind of like a weight has been taken off my...

Yeah, a few of the quotes in the article were retarded, I concede. But there were some valid points made as well.

As for a clean sweep, this goes BEYOND that.
We're talking the almost total devastation of a metropolis. Bloody scary, when you think about it. Even worse, money could have been spent to prepare for this type of emergency. Upgrading the levy system to withstand a class 5 hurriance, instead of the class 3 that they were intended to protect against. The government dropped the ball, and now the constituency of New Orleans (as well as other states) are paying for it.

i'm probably going shooting sometime tomorrow,, if you want to go, let me know

So I've been watching the coverage of the hurricane aftermath.

Seems as though human nature's worst is prevailing over Mother Nature's. Roving armed gangs in the streets of the big easy. Looting. Shoot outs with officers trying to save lives.

I have no problem with people taking food and water. Those things are essential to life.

I do, however, have a problem with people taking...

So I said I'd have a ranting journal entry, but I haven't had the strength to do it. It'll just make me mad.

Anyway, I actually "work" on Wednesday. A buddy of mine has me doing some warehouse work starting at 7. Hey, it's money.

Thursday I have an interview at the Philadelphia News Gleaner and then I get to drive out to York for...

No way, Michael was a WAYYYYY better. Ralph did nothing but cook f'n steaks the while time, while Michael actually thought outside the box and had creative AND inspiried dishes.

I was routing for Michael from the first episode, and very please that he won. Can you tell I was a loser for that show? I never watch reality TV, but a cooking show w/ Ramsey!!!! How could that not be good???

Oh and I agree about the not getting an actual restaurant?? WTF was that "have an internship instead" BS at the end about? Michael should definately have won both, not have to chose one or the other. Although, I think a year with Ramsey is near priceless, as opposed to a no-name resturant that could flop in a few months....

I take it that you have probabaly working in a kitchen before? ... I have a few different times, not a huge fan.)

Oh I don't know where I found it anymore.

Its interesting though, isn't it?

So...

Does anyone else just hate to see the way young adults conduct themselves?

I'll elaborate on this tomorrow.

Watch for reruns of 30 Days on F/X this week and we'll have fodder for conversation.

ah. I am way too familiar with missed opportunities and yes...I am to blame as well. I spent too many years slacking or whatever.

and no...I'm not a Drexel girl. Working full-time while putting myself through a part-time graduate program hardly qualifies me as a Drexel girl. go to work, get off of work, get on the el, go to class, get back on the El, go home. So tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

plus...I'm more like a woman at this point. wink

Today was "letting the aggression out" day.

Met up with the gentlemanly scholar quietlythere and let off a few rounds at Targetmasters.

My freaking ear is still killing me. My aim isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Once I get into a rhythm I'll be better.

Had a damn fine half pie from Grotto and made my way home. Ofcourse, I was...

ha ha...yeah librarians can just sit and read all day long. I can get away with SG because it "appears" like I"m doing work. Reading is not an option. and yeah...I might hit you. tongue

When you become a baker do you just plan to sit around and eat cake? hmmmmm

tongue tongue tongue tongue

and what is this downward spiral? Is it still going downward..or is it slowly changing direction?

Would anyone think less of me if I applied for a job as a baker's assistant in a Bucks County country store?

Ladies, is that less or more sexy? Does coming home covered in flour bearing pastry make you want to jump a man's bones more than being covered in grease from working on cars?

Discuss.
