i've never been to a drive in... we've never had them in this country... but damn, i'd love to go to one in the US some day.
drink milkshakes with my arm around my date in the front seat, top down on the convertable just like in the movies.

chezui23:
the party was rockin'...
was stressed out because my computer crapped out just before everyone arrived so didnt get to play all the nice tunes i had lined up. had to go with the stereo instead which was disappointing but unavoidable.
yep .... if the wolves can take the next game, they'll definately finish the series off on their home court.
heres hoping you'll get to see at least one more home game!

Silverstein's an aquired taste. And I feel the Rapture is too, just because of the singer's voice, so i was surprised you dug that immediately. The Rapture makes me wanna shake my booty.

Oh yeah, here's another couple, I'm a HUGE H.I.M. fan, so i suggest these two: Soul on Fire, and Beyond Redemption. LOVE THOSE SONGS....

my hair looks like shit. but i'll fix it. I guarantee.

there's a huge funny story behind this quote which i may tell you later, it's kinda one of those "you had to be there" moments...but anyway, "You guys want a couple of grape soda's?" is from Bad Boys II, when the two latino cops are making fun of the black cops and they say, you guys want a couple of grape sodas? and how about some fried chicken? and Martin Lawrence mimics him and says the quote I gave you...classic moment in interracial slander...

don't know if it is your sound or not but i am currently addicted to frou frou , i linked this on my journal a few days ago but i really want to see this movie (the preview uses a frou frou song called "let go")

Sorry about your dad.
Mine died in 93, right before my birthday. He was only 43. His birthday was May 18th- curiously enough I was thinking about that when I read your journal. I could type many paragraphs of superficial "be happy for the memories" kind of shit--- I def-in-ately know what major loss feels like --- but words fail ultimately. At least for me. I don't know you, or your father though either.
I guess if I can offer any honest words of consolation, they would just be that I know how bad that loss can hurt, and it def. won't last forever the way that it feels now.
Take a deep breath, and thank him for life.
good luck, kiddo

kiss
neodrunk:
Sorry for the loss. One of those funny days last weekend. I went to a wedding that was in Brooklyn Park, right off 169. As I'm pulling up to the church, I realize that my father's family graves are right across the street. So after this "rebirth" of two into one, I meander over to the old St. Vincent of DePaul (or whatever the fuck it's called) to see the burial of former unions. It was one of those really weird ying and yang moments. Two totally different things, yet they couldn't have been intertwined anymore.

tonguemiao!!

Sweet! You'll love Zolof then.. Rach is a good friend of Matthew and I... same with Vince. They dedicated their set to us at their last show, which was awesome.
