I knew since I was around 10 or so. Well, I've probably always known... but I started figuring it out around then. I finally came to accept it for what it was around 17 or so. And yeah.

My mother has thyroid problems, too. TWenty years ago, when she was in her early thirties, she was bed ridden for eight months. In the last 5 years, she has put on a lot of weight, even though she watches what she eats, never drinks, and exercises almost every day. Also, due to excessive worry and stress, mainly about my bi-polar younger sister, she has developed a heart condition. Happy days.

Good luck with the being a vegan. You might think about taking a higher quality time-release Vitamin B complex supplement. A few, very few, vegans suffer from a lack of Vitamin B. The symptoms, again though rare, can be behaviorly severe.

Man, oh, man do I relate. I have heard it is only by taking risks in life that one will be happy. That you need to put things out on a line to get that which really means something to you. Perhaps someday you will know this courage that continues to elude me.
