ann arbor is a cool town. it's home to the university of michigan. it has a fairly diverse population, and a pretty even split between yuppie-types, and tree-huggin' types.

tons of coffee shops, lots of "bohemian" kinds of stores--the college students keep that scene going strong, art galleries, lots of bookstores, great restaurants, lots of good but small music venues. it's a very manageable-sized city. i like it a lot, and i also went to college here way back when. i think i'll be moving to a bigger city in a year or so, though, once i get my life stabilized.

that pad thai pic was up since this morning......i hate how it doesn't show up right away for everyone....
invisigirl:
i don't know yet.....i'm told that the san francisco area has the exact climate i want. maybe chicago again. we'll see what i'm in the mood for when the time comes.

paint fumes are... funny.

almost done with the library... hopefully will get it done by the time they get back tonight...

had lunch with step-grandmother... she's rad. i can see why my dad likes hanging out with her.

and the tap drips... drip... drip... drip... drip...

i need to get out and take some pictures soon... or at least go into town and chill at...

i don't have instant messenger--wait, i have yahoo, but i've never used it--wait, i used it once a long time ago. i've done the sg chat thing--wait, you were there that time, the second time i'd used it. wait--

oh, nothing, i just wanted to say wait again.

i think i'd like to see what a 6'2" guy looks like when he gets all "jibbery" about something! hahaha
ya wanna chat, then?

i've licked the couch from time to time, and it's not so bad.

Re: tell me about your parents

My mom is an independent paranoid neurotic creative intelligent virgo with a short fuse. My dad is a chain-smoking hard-drinking harley-riding tattooed goateed equally intelligent fiercely sarcastic scorpio.

The stepparents don't get an honorable mention. They are tolerable at best...... and bland. Very bland.

A thunderstorm has been hanging around all day... it's been incredible to see/hear one of those once again. Fireflies too are a pleasure to see.

It was so quiet earlier today, around noon. Almost as if it had snowed.

Painting the library today. Spent a good two hours boxing up books. The paint isn't exactly what I would call a good color... kind of a...

re: Nah, fuck it. Best to act like we don't give a shit. Let 'em have their fun. I started a thread in good fun about having a Boys Only group, and shit, first page some girl says I must have a tiny penis. Fuck that.

it's good to have goals.... surreal

Not even 24hrs here and I'm ready to... go somewhere else. Wonderful feeling, really.

Actually, there are many things that I appreciate about being here: fireflies, new scenery, the heightened chance of getting lost, an ability to just go somewhere... and many other choices.

My step-mother said to me, after only a couple hours of being in each-other's presence, "I'm glad you came, it's been...

this is my favorite line from your story--hilarious story!

make sure you clear the history, unless you don't care.....but something tells me that it wouldn't be good to have cassaroni finding out about it.

It is 2:36am. I am suddenly reminded of Kristina, for it must have been this hour when she wrote the inside jokes to her long-time friend upon the bathroom mirror--using lipstick that she never wore. Possibly, it was later in the morning. It is, nevertheless, at this hour that I am most haunted by her ghost... and our stories.

I suppose it is just, as...

......to keep your journal noisy and raucous while you're temporarily away from the 'puter........
reina_confundida:
.....but i don't know, i kind of like the quiet in here. i drove the hour home from work after dark fell tonight and chased a heat lightening storm across southern new england, watching the lightening strike without sound. your journal is like that today.

tjaden:
yeah, i just sent out about a dozen resumes... (and necessary support letters).

in the past, i've brought back t-shirts/sweatshirts that say "DELAWARE" across the front... lots of questions/jokes ensured.
