Unfortunately, watching TV, playing video games, and surfing the web will all make it harder to fall asleep. Its the high level pf photon input into your eyes, your body registers it as similar to sunlight, which also triggers waking processes. Reading with just enough light is your best best. If you are anxious you might want to try stretcing or light exercise a few hours before bed (long enough to allow your heart rate and body temp come down). This will help double fold, the activity will expend some of the adrenalin floating arround from stress responses and the drop i body temp afterward will often aid in the triggering of sleep preparation processes. If you prefer herbal remedies, melatonin is supposed to trigger sleep preparation processes, but you need to make sure you take it 30 to 60 minutes before you lay down so that it is circulating and taking effect while you are trying to fall asleep.

G_FELIX is also right, if you spend too much time in your bed (or sleeping area) doing non-sleeping things you can develop a psychological association with those activities rather than sleeping.

As far as the exhuastion at work, I think many people have that. It is probably due, in part, to boredom and also if you have a job that has low activity levels, the reduced blood circulation will make you tired. Getting up, moving around (to your car, the bus, etc, walking to your apartment, climbing stairs) will get your circulation back up.

Aaahhhhhh, yessss......THE LOOK (it has to be capitalized). I have felt the glare that will strip the paint off a barge. She actually parted the crowd at Food Lion one day when she was upset. Big crowd. I had gotten in line while she went back for one item. I stood there for 15 minutes, inching my way up the line. She caught my eye and wanted me to get out of line. Said no. Get out of line. No again. Come here. No. Her eyes turned green and people started moving out of the way of her glare. She was 4 isles away. Yup, got out of line. Still paid for that one.

I took the day off yesterday as my wife is a school teacher and they have the day off. They use the schools around here (everywhere?) as voting places. Didn't even go vote. Yup, they are hypocritical. Say anything to get elected.

You are not being bad. You are being exactly what we all define as being a GOOD American. Not putting up with a bunch of crap which is what most of the elections have come to.
