"That's what a true friend would do."

I hate that statement. I've said it a billion times and I've heard it a billion times, and it's just irritating now...because most who say it, are just kidding themselves.

"A true friend would understand."

Oh yeah? So I'm supposed to sit around and wait for you to call me back. Then accept that you may have fell...

once again, much empathy sent your way blush

similar shit has happened with me when it comes to my friends. I'll spare you my woe-is-me details...

true friends are a rare thing to be found these days. everybody refers to the "me" generation when referring to the 60's and 70's; we're in a new "me" generation. very few people care about more than themselves; inso far as they can't give a courtesy call. but don't let the majority get you down. there are still those out there who do give a damn....

i'm not sure i'm making sense, let alone making things better...i wish i knew what you wanted to hear...
andtherobots:
that sucks. friends are a difficult situation. entirely too dificult sometimes.

The best quote I heard today (from some movie with Halle Berry): "Yeah...I used to be like him. Always seeing myself as others saw me...but now I see myself through me."

At first it didn't make much sense, but if you kind of reflect upon it on a personal basis, and what that statement means to you, it can tell you a lot about...

I miss him. So much that I started randomly bawling my eyes out while Shell and I were driving back to my house.

What the fuck is wrong with me? I'm so much stronger than this bullshit I'm pulling.

Somebody kick me in the ass....and make me do something. Please.

Bah..

P.S. I'm going to be a Pussy Cat Doll for Halloween. (aka. cock tease)

Crying is good. it's like letting go of everything that holds you back. Then you naturally move on.

The Aussie girl...I love her so much.

I wake up around 4pm today, and she calls me and tells me "My visa finally came in, and now I'm shopping."

I ask her who she went with, and she said, "Oh...I walked. I didn't really know where I was going, I just kept walking until I saw some shops."

I started to laugh and she said...

I finally made a resume and submitted it to over 20 companys looking for employees with experience in clerical, secretarial, and data-entry work. I also called and left a message for Adecco which is a temp-hire agency.

Depending on the way things go, I won't ever have to dance again - which would be heavinly.

I got an email this morning from Grant saying he...

My friend Shell got here from Australia yesterday. She went to get money from an ATM...and her card slipped through the frame of the screen. frown

Everyone kept asking her a billion questions last night. Yes, the water in the toilet flows the other way. People do eat kangaroo...and they purnounce the letter "Z" in the alaphabet, "Zeb".

Greatest thing....We woke up this morning, and she...

Well, he's gone now. If he was going to any other place than Iraq, naturally I would be celebrating a little freedom and space...but I just can't.

I didn't want to be the cliche' woman who weeps as the man marches off to war, but the more I tried to fight it, the more emotional I became.

Since he left last night, I was fine....

Grant has a fireplace in the backyard. We lit it last night, while it was chilly outside and I sat by the fire thinking of how great it is going to be, living here.

The days/nights when I have people over for bbqs, are going to be awesome. I'm buying nice patio furniture for the back. There's a fireplace, an outside summer kitchen, and a...

Today Grant and I made turkey bacon, scrambeled eggs, and 12 grain toast...at 2 in the afternoon, and ate it on his roof. The weather was so perfect too.

It's times like those were I just truly question why I make such a big deal about the small things in life (or even the big things), when doing something as simple as eating breakfast on...

Ok. I give up. I'm throwin' in the towel.

All I've ever tried doing for the past 3-4 years is pretend to be this emotionally-guarded, strong, closed-off, "you can't date me, I'm too good for comittment" girl....and frankly, I'm sick and tired of it.

I hate coming home to an empty bed. I hate asking someone to cuddle with a price or an alterior motive....

I just wanted to let everyone know that I think I am finally getting better. Between the dual anti-botics and the pain meds that keep me sleeping a lot, I woke up this morning, and touched my face, realizing the infection (swelling) has significantlly decreased by a half of an inch.

I am still in a lot of pain. But I'm getting better, and that's...

There is something goin on there this weekend. I think its for a local tv station. Something to do with local bands - sounds like they're taping. I'll peek in there tomorrow and find out more details, if you like. So glad to hear you're doin better!!! Ya ready for that hug now?

Im glad to hear you're better. Thanks for the chamomile suggestion, I have some so I'll drink a bit of it. Yay for you being well though! biggrin

So the cell phone number of the male dentist was the wrong number. The infection moved to the front of my face, and I tried contacting him at 4am so he could tell me to go to the E.R. or not. Instead, we showed up at his office at 8 am (when they opened). He said it got so bad, it was out of his...
