I'm sitting here, going out of my mind with restlessness, feeling as though there's someone I want to reach out to, and I cant think of anyone. I'm trying deperately to avoid being a whiny crybaby, but the 8 years of Prozac pills that have been dislodged from my system are slowly beginning to be missed, and I now see by my hopelessly weepy nature...

Thank you all for your compliments on my, uh, fiction. There certainly is more, but I'm saving it for my "novel."
I will, of course, be sharing as I go along.
Here is a question: How is it that animators convey age with drawings? Snow White's stepmother has skin just as tight as Snow White-- ditto Cinderella.

Oh my, I made a mistake Ms. Lillitatiana...There are 36 dramatic situations and I found them for you here:

My undergrad days were a while ago.
Sorry about that. The number 26 gets stuck in my head sometimes because of Peter Greenaway. He's always so formalistic in his films.
By the way, Betty Blue, very rad indeed. I used to have a Beatrice Dalle poster but it disappeared when I made the move West.

No, i beleive they are all there. there's probably too many. there's lots of debate about the number...i just think it makes great party conversation
a prof. told me that if someone appplied them to modern films for examples they could make a fortune in the whole screenwriting book racket. the original author referenced plays i believe.

I posted this in the writers' group, so what the hell? You determine what's fact or fiction...
One of the earlier ones was the kiwi with the ham whom you had to drive so he could deliver it someplace. He brought along a rather large camera bag, and took out his camera to photograph the grisly accident on the 101, near the coast. He tried...

nothing ever happens that is worth documenting during the ages of 24 to 30 anyway.

"Maybe there's a God above, but all I ever learned from love
was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you."
- Leonard Cohen
Then there was that dreadful camping experience. What made you think you were the outdoorsy type, anyway? In a cheap tent you had just bought en route, you slept with some guy while on your period, simply because you were drunk...

so right and so on the nose Ms. Lillitatiana. thank you for your comment on my last journal entry and i so love your literary voice in the above journal. mongoloids and yellow crusty eyes are not something someone of your grace, intelligence and stature should have to endure.
The doomed one-month relationship has come to an end, just like I thought. Causes me to question why I keep engaging in them. In this case, the Scottish accent went a long way...
Seemed as though humans werent getting any closer to impressing you.
Seemed as though you self-prophesized that. But this last onewhew.
I guess it could best be described that they never ceased...

Hey, I saw your comment in my journal... thanks for the condolences. I tried to email you through the "contact" form on this page but it came back undeliverable.

sorry little sister... not much consolation I can offer ya on this one... being on the receiving end of the kinda thing yer talking about sent me into the realm of self imposed singlehood for about eight years (Gasp!
)... a couple thing I did learn during that time was the capacity to have real unconditional love for all the people in my life ( you know... not feeling like I had to wait for a certain someone to share that with).... & I really started to value every moment that I spent with those people... the result seems to be that I feel alot less alone in my heart...
by the by... misdirected, maybe.... useless, doubtful... the trick is to remember what leaves you feel ing wounded... "Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
"The don't do that."
love to ya Chica

The three-day weekend is drawing to a close and I'm almost relieved to be going back to work, believe it or not. All this free time kind of freaks me out! No, not really. It was a good weekend. Saturday night I housesat for my parents and went to the Cinespia screening, which at first appeared hopelessly crowded but after settling in, was actually fun....

Sunday: Father's day. Poor dad prepared lunch for everybody! He likes doing that, though. Took me 2 hours to drive 15 miles home afterwards, and some asshole cut me off. Soon enough the asshole was waving at me, and I realized it was my own brother.

Ok first off both are on 8th and are within 30 feet of each other off Cataline.
Soot Bull Jeep is the best Korean BBQ in the city. You leave smelling of charcoal. It's not a cheap meal but so good. You get plates of uncooked meat (and some rather, erm, other parts if you want) and cook them over a grill in front of you. You have rice, lettuce, all sorts of kim chi, garlic and such. Wash it down with a HITE Korean beer and some Korean sake (forgot the name!) and it's amazingly good.
Mom's is fairly cheap and NO FRILLS. It's in a mini mall. Most of the employees dont speak Korean and I have only gotten the Bulgugi (beef with spices and veggie on a simmering plate) and the soup but....it's again amazing with all the rice, kim chi, etc. You should go...and invite Emilygee & me to come along with you. It's so damn good

Almost done captioning Norma Jean and Marilyn, the worst film ever. Uploaded all my walking tour photos and am dedicated to sharing them as I take them. Tonight I'm going to the Bonaventure Bar again... hopefully this time it'll be revolving...

My fav. part od that tape (now that I know I didn't miss the Dylan vomit launch) is when Dylan tells Lennon how great America is, "There is baseball and 24 Hors of TV...." to which Lennon dryly replies, "Sounds great."

Ahhh, another person into "Antiques Road Show" I'll pretend that makes us uber cool and elite, but my massive self doubt leads me to think we be nerds. I've spent most of my life in Post Production in one form or another but I've never thought about the subtitler... wow cool job if you can spell... a craft I quite aparently havent mastered.
PS Tanks for the shots of our beautiful city.

The Prettiest
Another walking tour this Saturday (the downtown skyline). Went on one last weekend. Then I went and saw Charles Phoenix's show.
Afterwards, went to the revolving bar at the top of the Bonaventure, but it wasn't revolving that night. Got a souvenir drink, though. Sunday, I went with my brother to see David Foster Wallace speak. I hated all the pseudo-intellectual pretentious fucks in the...

I have been on medication in the past, and after a few years I figured the ability to finally develop coping mechanisms, moments of bliss and ability to orgasm far outweighed the benefits of being an emotional flatline. If you feel it's the right thing for you to do, then I say hell yeah. Enjoy every emotion to its fullest.
