I broke a kingpin today on the Vert ramp trying to learn fronttside inverts. Thank god that's all I was doing having it break doing something else could have gone really bad. I don't think I've snapped one of those things in 10 years. Crazy.

Well last night was a great. There was a big session at the vert ramp, 7 of us dinosaurs. The best part is we got a new transplant from Pennsylvania that wants to ride on a regular basis. Hopefully we worked it out so there will be a regular vert session at least twice a week.

My girlfriend is the best. She got me this killer Black Label jacket for me this weekend. It is wonderful, I haven't taken it off cause I love it so much. The weird part is is still to warm to wear here in AZ, but who cares.

We have three really good parks in the valley area (Phoenix & surrounding cities). The one in Chandler is the best then the Gilbert park and Paradise Valley are also real good. Then the one a couple hours up the road in Flaggstaff is great, that one has a great triple bowl.

So there's this surprise bday party for a friend Ray Stevens (faction, Los O, clay wheels, etc.). My buddy and I are smoking out in the backyard waiting for birthday boy to come home. Through the crowd walks Lucero, Blender, and Mike Smith...Cab and Salman, too.
Naturally my buddy and I shit ourselves. And decide to head out front before we totally 14-year-old girl Blender and Smith. My buddy does art for the Label, so he keeps his cool in front of Lucero.
Out on the front porch I nearly trip over this guy sitting in the shadows...it's Jeff fucking Grosso. I shit myself again. But somehow...against all laws of nature...I maintain my cool. I gots almost all his decks on my walls...
What can I say? When it comes to skateboarding, I am and will always be a 13-year-old kid.
