How to make 20 lbs of leftovers from two ingredients:

One (1) 18lb turkey + one (1) bag of stuffing = 21 lbs of food. Subtract the amount consumed at dinner and voila! twenty pounds of leftovers.

Of course, those turkey bones are a sizable portion of that weight. Well, I'll just boil the flavor out of them to make soup. Five pounds of bones...

Wednesday I received my new carburetor.

It was shiny & clean. Freshly rebuilt too--in June of '84.

Thursday I installed it. It ran horribly. Crap. I adjusted the float. It ran much better, but leaked gas.

Tonight I rebuilt it. Doesn't leak gas, but something isn't quite right.

Tomorrow I will tinker some more.

I did not notice.

On the plus side, the folks in the apartment above me seem to be moving furniture again. Who knew rearranging the living room at 11PM could be such a joyous experience?

Being the Back to Basics Man that I am, tonight I shall clear my bathtub drain with lye. No Drano, no Liquid Plum'r, no "The Works!", none of that namby-pamby drain-cleaner stuff that's a mixture of bleach & lye. Nope. 100% sodium hydroxide (NaOH) will do the trick.
