I got a email from Oregon State a bit ago saying my financial aid status has been reviewed and updated. Great I thought, there goes what little they did want to give me. I was pretty much shitting tacks while waiting to get logged in to check my status and see how much I got screwed.

I was wrong. Thank the Gods. Dead wrong. Instead of taking from me, I'm getting some more. A lot more actually. The state of Oregon is awarding me two grants at a total value of over three times what the federal government decided I was worth. So at this point my grant total (what I don't have to pay back) is looking like it might actually cover my tuition. I'll still have to worry about books and keeping a roof over my head, but hey....one thing at a time.
