It became noticeable to me today that my face foliage is beginning to take on a life of it's own. Too many more days without the clippers and it may become an ecosystem unto itself. Perhaps small settlements will take root and harvest dorito crumbs from my mustache for nourishment.

Or perhaps it's growing evil and plotting to kill me while I sleep, steal my...

Today I go to the beer store and blow money.

Also I think I may have found an excellent list of apartments to check out in portland. Now I just have to go there and check them out sometime. Which of course means...ROADTRIP!

The real bastard will be moving all my shit into my apartment solo. That. will. blow. Luckily it's a few months off.
unravled:
We can help. Well, as long as it's downstairs, otherwise you're out of luck since I have the knees of a ninety year old woman. Also, yay roadtrip! We might even have a fully functional extra bedroom by then. Also also, yay beer!
the_reverend:
Ah, moving house solo. Happy memories. i generally stress until all my cds, vinyl and stereo equipment is moved safely... Once that's all in place, i can chill a bit more and move everything else.

It's just the bastard of heavy stuff + stairs that gets me... damn you, gravity!

Good luck with the hunting.

Yea, I don;t know what I'd do with it to be honest.
Aside from bask in the label's awesomeness, that is.

Portland is calling me like a horny drunk exgirlfriend. That being said, I plan to put it Portlands' butt without asking.

Dad got a stent put in today as he had a single artery clogged. He's doing very well and will be home Thursday. Until then he'll be taking advantage of all the morphine and valium he can. That's a good boy. wink

So given my recent financial upturn and this good news I'm planning on trying to make my move to Corvallis by late summer. I've...

My buddy just bought a 350z not too long ago. He absolutely loves it. I haven't driven it so I can't compare it to anything. But yea, I'm sure you're aware of their reputation and what not.

So what year's your 911 anyhow?
drstinkypants:
My buddy is about 6'3" 250+ lb and he's comfortable, FYI. But it's different for everyone obviously.

Are you on Pelican Parts? They've got a lot of info and a decent set of Porsche parts.

This is my dream car:

dempsey:
It's sad to think that whatever replaces it (the GTO and the Monaro... and I mean platform-wise... they'll still be called Goats and munros) will be built here because "the majority of the coupes will be sold in the states." Pontiac build quality has been abysmal for ages. But I used to manage the fleet of cars for the mission I was a part of in Melbourne, which were almost all Toyotas, except for the President's car... he had a Holden Statesman (which, really, when you got down to it, was more or less an old Caprice/Impala). The Corollas and Echos we had were always having problems, but the only time his car ever went into the shop was routine services. I had to take it in once while he was in Tassie, and so I got to drive it around for a day or two... let's just say going from a Toyota Tarago (Previa... the old egg minivan) to that beast of car was a damn near sexual experience. love

First thing I did was break the rear tyres loose around a corner, followed by some wicked powerslides. biggrin

Today I brew beer and eat way too much BBQ. Also I may attempt to teach my buddies girlfriend to cook a few things because, well, she's just a terrible cook. But the unfortunate thing is she thinks she's an excellent cook.

She puts eggs in gravy. EGGS IN GRAVY! WHO THE FUCK PUTS CHOPPED HARDBOILED EGGS IN GRAVY?! NO-ONE SANE!!!

Thanks for the tip. I thought I was supposed to keep them cool-ish, I'll move them closer to the heater.
High five on the gumbo too. For my money, there is no more satisfying food than cajun.

Ok, so I've gotta ask. Eggs in the gravy: was it white gravy or what? I've been haunted by that mental image all day puke

The inordinate amount of douchebags around here is starting to get to me. Maybe it's time to kick back for awhile or forever. Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood. tongue

I've never hyperventilated before but I did just about fifteen minutes ago. All I've been able to do is pace. I took a shower to snap myself out of it. I need a cigarette and a shot. My hands are shaking.

Remember my aunt who died in February? (God Bless her Soul)

Probably not, no-one reads this shit. Anywho mom emailed me and said that...

Wow. Congrats, man. Good to hear some good news around here. Sounds like one hell of a start on going to college.

I made okonomiyaki last night with cabbage, green onions, and ground pork. I did them pancake style like normal and found them rather bland. Just didn't pop. But later I kicked on the deep fryer and dropped the batter in like a funnel cake. That was what did it. It was the shit. The dough held together terribly though and made a mess of the...

I sent an email to the girl who gave me the beer... I don't think it was those other two you posted... so we'll see.

I have this giant bottle of Mississippi Mud that I'm entirely terrified/intrigued by, sitting in my fridge. I might hold on to that one til my beer tolerance is built up a bit more.

I just showed that to Randy right after he woke up and I'm pretty sure his whole day is ruined now. Oh, and he's going to kill you.
