Attention sassy girls! Please take a bite out of a 45 for my man perisarc! He is a talented artist who will pay you $40!

So, yeah, we saw Little Shop of Horrors last night. I give it a mixed review. I really enjoyed the first half, but I was drifting off a little in the second. (Spoilers follow)

The only actor whom I...

Movie nerd trivia:
The movie version was actually originally filmed that way. But of course test audiences hated it. The original pressing of the DVD has both endings, and unfortunately (for me at least) goes for some fairly high bucks on ebay. That was the first show I ever worked on in as a designer (in college). (The musical I mean, not the film.)
derceto:
do you got to a lot of shows?

HAPPY

  • My Get Your War On t-shirt came today. vyeseleph pointed out that (when interpreted unironically), its message is pro-war. Are Bush-lovers going to start clapping me affectionately on the back?
  • I found Shaun of the Dead on the intarweb! And not a copy some asshole taped in a theater, but an honest-to-goodness DVD-rip! I feel a little bad about downloading a film by artists...

I just wanted to high five you for being brilliant enough to broadcast a video of dancing menfolk. And to say, I hope it is as awesome as I remember because my dipshit computer isn't smart enough to play it.
legionnaire:
Wow, bullet points in a journal entry, that's a new one. Did you get the memo about the new cover sheets on the TPS reports?

Hope you had a good time at Little Shop of Horrors. Coming out this Friday?

Next up in Scene Study class will be a scene from Tape by Stephen Belber. (You may recall the 2001 film adaptation.) I'll be playing the date rapist character!

First rehearsal's tonight.

I totally forgot to mention in my last entry that that egg & cheese I made was entirely nasty. I had stomach pain (just a touch) afterwards.

those egg and cheese sandwiches require more culinary skill than one would initially think. Have you thought of going on Iron Chef worldwide?

Well really I think everything causes cancer in lab rats unfortunately. Warm summer breeze's have been known to lead to cancer ridden lab rats.

Yes! You of all people could appreciate the Frank Miller-style illustrations (I noticed your graphic novel collection). There was a lot of other good stuff. Highly recommended. And what the hell? Were you peeling artichokes just to get to the center? Or was your dirrping sauce tar?
dharmabox:
i really think they make a special glove for that shit you might want to check into it!

I just got back from Scene Study class. Tonight was the sixth and final time my scene partner and I performed our scene for the class, from Neil Simon's The Star-Spangled Girl.

(A snippet I played Norman: )
ANDY: What did she do, threaten to call the police?
NORMAN: She did not threaten to call the police!
ANDY: What did she do?
NORMAN: (Pause.)...

Oh my god. Brunch this morning (constructed entirely by Very Special Mother-In-Law) was absolutely unbelievable. Crispy hashbrowns, Asparagus Benedict (with utter ladles of truffle hollandaise), fruit salad, fluffy pancakes (actually brounght by friends from upstairs who brunched with us), and (of course) a whole lot of mimosa and bloody mary.

Today I learned how much butter goes into hollandaise sause. By my calculations, I have...
