That was an interesting article. I'm a teacher. I work for a private school but I think that great public education is a right. Children are hugely undervalued - I think partly because it is illegal to make them work. People are waiting longer to have children - basically so they can have enough money to dump them in a good program by age 2. They are also afforded fewer rights than everyone else. And while that makes sense for a few things (driving a car) it makes no sense for others (spanking). I wouldn't work for the public school board, but I wouldn't call someone who worked for the board crazy. If you are really concerned about education - it seems strange to call the underpaid/overworked people who educate and raise your children crazy.
