Sorry about being absent again, I've been sick for a while and nothing much has been happening.
The Fabulous Flux made cupcakes for me for my birthday, man are they amazingly good. I was going to go to the Hurricanes playoff game tonight, but am still sick so K_Rex is taking her sis instead.
Bleh, going back to being comatose now.

Dad came out of surgery and is doing fine. His carotid artery (right side) was 95% blocked, they replaced it, he's in the neuro ward recovering over night and, if all things look good, he goes home tomorrow. However, the very minor stroke was from his left side, so they'll look into that once he has healed up.

If your dad is anything like you then he will fight through his difficult time and come out a winner. I'm thinking lots of wonderful stuff for him, you and Karen. I miss talking with you and once I get through the next few weeks I think that life will settle down nicely again.
