Last day at the beach, we leave tomorrow. It was a pretty good vacation, even though it was swamped with dogs and people. It rained almost the entire time, which was fine with me. Made it a very lazy time. But, I guess vacations can't last forever.
OMG, I just realized you guys were at the beach during the time Nicole went through. It wasn't too bad up here (~5") but I heard it is upwards 20" along the coast.
Tomorrow I'll be heading to the beach with K_Rex, her sister, their parents, our friend Beth and three dogs (none of them mine, I have birds, thank you very much). Um, should be an interesting week. Hmm, yeah. I need a new job, if not a new career. Something much closer to Chapel Hill. That drive to Raleigh every day just sucks! Time to blow the dust off the ol' resume.
ZOMG! Game night was soooo much fun! I finally went to bed at 4:00am, and people left shortly after that. We played lots of Wii and eventually ended up with pantless DDR and Wii. Now aren't you jealous you weren't here.
I can relate. I had a "best friend" all through childhood and high school, but she was really about my only friend, since living in a town full of dumb hicks before the magic of the internet came into being meant it was hard to find anyone you had things in common with. We lost touch, and I don't miss her.
Now, I would truly say Marksy is my best friend. (And I hope he feels the same .)
Thanks to SG I do have some great friends, who I actually do have things in common with, but not a single bff. I think I'm OK with that though. I'm a loner by nature anyway.
