Guys, guys GUYS!!!!!
We are getting our baby conure this weekend!!!!!
Phew, I'm nervous. We aren't ready, I need more time to prep, we need more stuff, I am obsessively watching conure videos (please, do not send me any more).
**deep breath**
Is this how expectant fathers feel? Gah! Okay, reality is we are way more prepared for this little one than I was for...

Migraine last night. Was able to drug myself down and sleep it off. Today I feel very shaky, and like everything is too...much. Too bright, too loud, too rough. Ugh. Hate migraines.
At the beach, sound side, of North Myrtle, SC. This is the back, at high tide.
Not much happening right now. No new conure pictures. I made the jungle gym for her, but not happy with the results so going to remake it. Haven't slept well the last few nights, so am pretty tired, and super unmotivated.
We just heard that our conure's dna results just came back and we are getting a female!!! Hooray! Just what we wanted! Also, here is the cage for our new bird (it has a perch on top, but it was too tall, so I'm cutting it down some) and the travel "cage", affectionately known as the wing-abeggo!
:-) It's kinda like Wonder Woman's invisible plane.

Saturday we finally got around to burning all the brush and tree limbs we have cut up. We were out there about 2.5 hours putting small bundles onto the fire, one at a time. It burned through today, until Karen finally decided it was enough and watered it until it died. Could have continued smoldering for another day, easily.
Not feeling too great today. Actually, did not feel great yesterday. Not sure if it's the weather yo-yo changes or slight illness. Karen came home early yesterday and stayed home today, also not feeling well. Come on body, stop messing around! No new bird stories. Well, we do have the cage and travel cage together, and ordered some toys and things.
More SQUEEEEE! to come!
We got to visit with and meet the new birds. They were all in a huddle, but after separating them out, we quickly found the one we wanted...he/she kept climbing into our clothes to snuggle. 4 more weeks!!!
