I didn't know about the ITP but you can get used to food restrictions, I know that because I am Diabetic; also it doesn't matter too much if you have an occasional breakout for an easter egg etc. A few years ago I had to have a brain operation and the laws here are they have to explain statistics to you before the forms are signed, so the night before I was told me they lose 1 in 7 either by having a massive stroke during the operation or death. Well I've never been frightened of death but figured my luck may have run out, it was 10pm and I had to fast from midnight so I thought you are going to die so lets go to the snack machine and feast on all the bad stuff. So I only had enough change for one item and there was nowhere in that hospital to get small change that late at night, well it took me nearly an hour to decide which chocolate bar was to be my last supper and now I can't even remember what I selected. I have had a few chocolate bars since then too.
