you know, the longer i wait for my set to go up, the more i wish i'd spent more time planning it out. i mean, at a baaare-ass minimum, perhaps the nod to courtesy which clearing off my floor would consist of. :/
in other news, if Brown refuses to sell me lactaid, then by Jove, i will continue to "liberate" it from the dining... Read More
psyched for your set, fyi. and not clearing off your floor -- just makes it more "real." for some of us, more real is more hott!!! ohhh -- you go to brown? cool! jon spencer went to brown -- i'm sure you know that. what does your prof say about ole ez???
i need school to be over. i need a change from meal-to-go with a plastic spork and the coffee can on my desk filled with ash and the slush filled hole-streets of providence.
i think it's my fault. i was spoiled by the weather of Monteray way back in the day. (RHYME!!!)
and, speaking of my stupidity, the boy stayed over last night to wake... Read More
another spring, another season of attempting to breath out of as-yet-unsurfaced gills. ahh, frolicking in the mold spores of april. :/
i've become weirdly fascinated with stop-motion video a-la-flash recently. big plans are in motion for epic claymation-style action figure battles and eerily self-moving toy adventures!
word to the wise: never be so unduly tempted by a movie box with jon stewart's mug on the... Read More
stop motion video is great.
you have to check out this website www.evanmather.com
there is some cool stuff with star wars action figures look for "kungfu kenobi's big adventure" and/or "lando's"
let me know what you think...
i just woke up from having a dream where we were hanging out at some convention and you were playing guitar... then i came over to say hi and we started talking about work and some black sabbath riff you were playing... i don't know where it came from... considering i just finished a dream about the ladies man and gary coleman being lovers
I'm glad you're happy with your ink. Maybe I'll check that place out at some point, when my own new marks have settled. I'm going to turn into an addict if I'm not careful...
hey! i have a question for you......were you a member here before you became an SG? if so, what was your username? i ask because i have you listed on my friends list from way before, when i was just a member! and i don't remember the name "siv".....so yeah, what was your member name? thanks for humoring me!
heh. i am at such levels of olympian boredoms and procrastination-polly that i have descended to the depths of taking stupid pictures of me with my hair wet. i apologize.
but it beats writing my paper. i promise you that.
not a story, but a picture:
(hey! like a pitcher-book!)
p.s. i really wish someone had slipped emma bovary the arsenic around page 43. this woman is too self-centered to live. granted, her husband charles is complete oxygen-depletion personified, but GOOD GOD WOMAN. i wonder if "the vapors" were synonymous with middle-class ennui back in nineteenth century france? bleh.
i had this nagging thought that maybe today was daylight whooozits, but maybe it's just unnaturally light out at 7:30 for no reason? tommyknockers, anyone?
road trip to providence today. the afternoon to be filled with instances (well, instance, singular) of me breaking in (with key!) to my old place of employment so's i can write a paper on flaubert. ahhh, the manifold joys of... Read More
Oh, I'm with you there sister. My shitty college jobs owed me much more than minimum wage and I snagged as much swag as I could. Even after I graduated and got those bloated dot com salaries, they still owed me for the corporate political bullshit they made me eat. So I've got a lifetime supply of mechanical pencils, hiligheters, pens, and so on. Not to mention gobs of pirated software. Arggg.
Man, I never read anyone's profile all the way through the first time. Liz Phair. Waiting For Guffman. Men's Pants, gotta love it.
oops, addendum: for those curious about the "crime photography" part of my profile, i posted a couple pics at the suicidegirls livejournal community. yes, i look freakydead, heehee. it gives me the heebies, sorta.
the linksies were great. they remind me of this Red Aunts album that i love called #1 chicken. inside the album are photos of the girls in the band all (fake) bloodied up. Or they kinda remind me of my friend Morgan who who gets nose bleeds all the time in the middle of the night. She takes poloroids of them and she always has this crazy dazed look on her face and mad bedhead in the shots. she has stacks of poloroids like this.
okay, this is way too long for a single journal reply.
bye now.
today we took a break from lifestyles of the poor and sedentary and hiked up slippery slush-covered Bare Mountain. tomorrow, our computer-console rears will be aching like nobody's business. but nothing quite beats beer in thin atmosphere, heh.
being up there for some reason reminded me of this freaky book i read as a kid...kit williams' riddle-book "masquerade." the illustrations are fantastic. apparently it was... Read More
