Almost 10 years of friendship and I just realized that we have nothing in common.
I have nothing to say to her when we talk on the phone.
All I am thinking is "When will this conversation end so I can get stuff done?"
She went back home today. And all I can do is sigh in relief.
I am the worst best friend ever.

No you aren't the worst best friend ever, people grow apart. There was a book some where about breaking up with your friends.. I'll see if I can rememver where I saw it. But in the article I read about the book they talk about how if you grow apart from your spouse or boyfriend, there is a way of dealing with it. Break up or Divirce... but when you grow apart from a friend there is no real ettiquete on what to do. you just end up feeling bad for trying to hold up your side of the friendship. Maybe she feels the same way. Maybe you are both trying hard to keep a friendship that has passed.

I couldn't find the book but here is a way to Break Up With Your Friend I found on line.. If you decide that the way you want to go.

I've been sick with a cold for the past three days, My grandmother died this morning, and I've gotten to fat to fit into any of my dress clothes.
It looks like we're going to be spending N.Y.E. on the couch again for the second year in a row.
I don't think I'll be that much fun to be around anyhow.

Had a great time at the SGLA annual Screw off gift exchange! I ended up getting the cute skull clutch thanks to the beautiful Cedar. And thanks to EricAllen I still smell like chocolate.

The little guy took a spill while we were gone though. He has a nice goose egg on his head and a clock got busted...Though they didn't happen at the same...

Epitaph Christmas party tonight! I loves me some Tim Armstrong.
Tomorrow is the boy's last day at work until after my birthday in January. Rad!
Saturday and sunday are pretty much lazy days.

Thanksgiving rocked!
I made a turkey for the first time. It was perfect. There was also the usual thanksgiving trimmings...plus nelaga and lumpia and my other contributions of Wasale and Haggis. We had about 30 people total.

How was your thanksgiving?

haggis on salad now that did make me laugh ..now was it a full-on stuffed sheep stomach job ? I actually quite like it but then I also like black pudding eeek

Sometimes I miss making lumpia, but for the most part I get bitter because my dad used to make me and my sisters stay up into the wee hours of the night, making some for his co-workers. blackeyed It was like his own little sweatshop.

RE: Mausoleum

We had a weekend to ourselves to be childfree and act like we were dating again. We went to the Huntington Gardens. Saw the Mausoleum. And promptly did it behind said mausoleum.
