I'm always wary of high maintenance friends, too. It's hard when there are such obvious positives to hanging out with her in addition to the negatives. And it can be hard to find people my age (or older) who are similar to me, at least, in this town (my good friends that I travel with are my age or older but they don't live here).

I went roller skating (with my Little Sister) for the first time in YEARS last weekend. It was so much fun! I can't get her to go ice skating, though.

Jenn texted early in the day to tell me he was sick with a lung infection. I asked if I could see him and she replied that he was at her mom's house. I then got a call about 9pm saying that he cried choked and died. I didn't need to hear from her, and didn't need this news.

Yes, I am going. It is likely one of only a few chances I would have to go and see it. I invited my sister to come along. We look mostly the same but her hair is dark brown/reddish and no glasses. I can keep an eye out for everyone as well.

She didn't like the bracelet because it's not a loose chain type. The one I got her is not quite a bangel, and doesn't "dangle" right on her wrist. The necklace and earring set are silver hearts with diamonds around (albeit small ones). I thought she would like them. Nope!

Without fail, I would have a dozen red roses delivered to my wife's place of work on VD until I retired 5 years ago. That was for over 20 years, and always for our anniversary too. I stopped giving her flowers after I retired and after she said to stop.
