Sadly, the Porsche rolling reminds me of a tragedy I just missed. Back in NJ I was a teenager underage at The Coliseum, which was a sprots bar/ice rink in Voorhees NJ (where I grew up). I'd gone to scoop some of the manmade snow from the pile out back into a trashbag lined plastic milk crate from outside a Cumberland Farms we were using for beer and we ended up getting inside.

Pelly Lindbergh, then-goalie for the Philadelphia Fliers, was there with some prominent members of, well, an Italian organization, along with 2 Playboyesque blonde women seated on either side of him hanging all over him. We were underaged and keeping a low profile, especially in light of him and his companions.

He appeared to lean forward and snort something on the table from time to time, and when he left, he was obviously kaboodled. The 'businessmen' attempted to discouragehim from driving bu t he was young and bullheaded. They, thankfully, convinced his dates not to ride with him.

He didn't make it a mile. He was doing an estimated 90 MPH around a curve known as (and, yeah, I bet every area has one) "Dead Man's Curve." He didn't make it.

Apparently, he could stop a hockey puck, but not a Porsche.

We, fortunately, left right about then but went the other way, despite home being that direction. We knew more cops hung out in that direction so we took the long way home and avoided both seeing it directly and getting in trouble for being underage at the bar in possession of beer in a motor vehicle.

You beat me! But darling, don't drink that gallon stuff anymore. I tried that option on my second colonascopy 5 years ago and will NOT do that again! Talk about shit tasting!!!!! This time I went back on the tablets (28 total) meds and there was no cramping like the liquid! Much, much better - not that having to clean out your bowels is any better. My report went fine this time - not polyps!!

Men is corsets???? WTF? I'm sure they will look pretty, just like you will.

AND thanks for your reply in the Equine Group. I wish I could just ride my (leased) horse and not worry about the suboptimal treatment he's getting from other people, but I just can't. I'm still trying to decide what to do. I started looking at other barns today, and I asked my instructor how much he costs, but she didn't know (she'll find out) . . .

In other barn news, I saw a SKUNK wandering around in the barn today!!! Apparently it has adopted the barn as its home, befriended the cats (or at least is not at all bothered by them, and they're not bothered by it), and it's unperturbed by all of the human and equine activity that goes on pretty regularly there. People are trying to discourage it from coming in the barn, but of course no one wants to get sprayed, and the subtle attempts at discouragement aren't working so far!
