I had a boyfriend for two years that I dumped because he wasn't doing anything with his life. Six months before I broke up with him I told him that if he didn't shape up, I didn't think we could last. He didn't take me seriously. So I left (and somehow he was surprised?). But what's worse in your case is not only is he not doing anything with his life, he's putting his gaming before you. Huge no-no. If I were you, I'd have a talk with him, give him some time to change (the longer you've been together the more time you give him but not too long! I think the 6 months I gave my ex was more than enough) and if he doesn't shape up, leave him. You're the only one you can always count on in life to always have your own back. Sometimes you need to look out for yourself and your own interests. I know from experience- guys like that will do nothing but pull you down.
