Definitely don't hold it in, maybe you could get it out on here, so people can rescue you and tell you it's all gonna be alright in the end, just like you do for them. You're not alone, as alone as you feel - everyone needs alone time, just to feel themselves again.
Take time out, put your phone on silent, break all your plans with your friends, they'll understand, and probably forget about it in, like a week. Come out of your room whenever the hell you want to.
