So, as noted, I'm sick. I don't like being sick, and I especially hate being feverish. Being feverish tends to give me repetative, nonsensical and oftentimes surreal dreams. Not nightmares, precisely, just very vivid and convoluted variations on a theme.

Last might I dreamed that souljacker was a lobyist for Paraguay. He wouldn't admit it of course, and every time I asked him he denied...

I'm sick and I'm cranky and nothing interesting has happened to me.

I did however put up some new pictures, including one's from Borneo that I've been procrastinating on for six months.

Feed me soup.

So I'm at work the other day around 2:45. Sometimes we leave the television on after we do a demo and it usually ends up on some random channel. So I'm not sure what staion it was... (but I know it was a some major network, not a cable channel), and I see a commercial for KY Jelly surreal

I don't watch much TV anymore, but I know there's been huge controversy lately and supposedly Mike Powell and co. are cracking down on a lot of people for there content.

For some reason I think I'd like to hear you comment on this.

Everybody pretty much knows about LAs car chase fetish. The collective unconcious of this place seems breed a "I may be headed to Chino, but look ma, I'm on TV!" mentality.

Tonight I got find out excactly how CHiPs deals with this. Lets face it, LA has more square miles of highway than most cities have city and you cant just shut them down, you'd...

It's called a round robin and it is very effective and the best way to keep your ass from getting in the middle of something you dont want to be in.
whip:
Juju's right. They do it all the time, not just for chases. Accidents, stalled cars... when they are bored. It gives a chance for people up ahead to do what ever they need to do, like move from the median to the shoulder, or or a stalled car to get towed.

Pain in the ass and definately freaky when you see it for the first time.

Yeah I'm happy again! You are brilliant (and handsome to boot). Your wife (?) is beautiful and your baby is adorable. You help to restore my faith in humanity.

To put this in context, I just came from the Against Gay Marriage thread involving ClarkKent.

Perfect LA moment last evening:

I'm coming home from work and a white fuzzy thing in the corner of my eye catches my attention. Its a dog, hanging out of the car window next to me.

The driver's side window.

Not just its head, mind you but probably better than half the dog. I look over to see what kind of idiot thinks this is...

I just wanted to say thank you for clearing up the insider trading question I had an idea but I was not sure how it all fit together so I learned something today.
sonofmorrissey:
Well, if that is truly what happened, then I agree with you completely that this is a BS witch hunt. I'll be honest and say that I'm still not %100 convinced that the situation was that benign, and frankly I don't think you and I will ever know for sure. I still have to entertain the notion that she was acting on a tip ( from either Waskal, her broker, or a little magic fairy ) that IMC was specifically losing it's patent prior to that information being made public, which would constitute a much more serious ( but admitidly small potatoes in the grander scheme ) charge. Maybe that scenario really is just CNN fodder ( a 'news' organization I have a healthy skepticism of as is ) and SEC smoke-and-mirrors and I'm just an automaton that bought into it, but I'm still skeptical of her level of knowledge prior to the sale. The trouble she took to cover this up seems kinda of high if all she did was follow her brokers advice. I have to believe that that jury saw evidence of a pretty descent attempt to hide something to convict her on all counts.

But, if it is/was as you say then I owe you a Coke and an apology. In future I'll keep my legal opinions of Martha nd the SEC actions to myself and stick to espousing opinions related to a federal body I know much more about...the OCC. biggrin

Off to catch a wave. Peace.

You know, at the end of the day I would still buy you a beer and laugh with you, not at you. Don't take it personally, posting here is far better and has fewer consequences than shooting my employees. Honestly, you post some good reading. Keep it up.

So, I was watching Family Guy last night. Its the "Taylor Hanson's a guy." Meg has an inverted nipple episode.

Who was the proud sponsor of this modern classic? Bible Songs 4 Kids.

Methinks someone didn't get a memo.

"The governor can direct the Highway Patrol. He can direct the next 'Terminator 4' movie if he chooses. But he can't direct the attorney general in the way he's attempted to do,"

God bless Bill Lockyer and God Bless the United States of America.

I haven't heard about this. What's going on?

Oh... Now I see. It's the smart political play against future competition. Imagine that, an Austrian using bigotry and schadenpolitik for political leverage. I can't think of anyone else who's pulled this stunt in the 20th Century?

I did absolutely nothing this evening, and it was good. So good I think I will do some more nothing before I go to bed.

Love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

Love is like a bottle of gin, but a bottle of gin is not like love.

Valentine's Day is not about hearts and flowers and candy. Valentine's day is about booze. Single, coupled, separated by vast distances, there is nothing about February 14th that isn't improved by a good belt.

Drink up kids.
