I hate to ask you for this, but do you know much about overtime law?

I really appreciate you keeping me on your friends list while I was grey.

Don't you just hate it when you're peeing and you have to sneeze?
jujubee:
I'm glad I wasn't drinking milk when I read this or else it would have come out my nose.

Wait.

Is that the same kind of thing right there? confused

The recipe for Thanksgiving dinner includes the following phrase:

"Always keep a fire extinguisher nearby in case of emergencies."

I do, indeed, rock.

The good news is, I was not standing in front of the fan.

The bad news is I think its going to be up to me to clean the fan.

And it is one mothersucker of a fan.

Today I think I will both rise, and shine. Shopping and vacuuming await.

Happy Sunday kids.

Saving orangutangs eh? Well they surely need it so good job!

As for South Korea? It's very strange. I don't think it has sunk in yet that i'm going to be living here for the next 51 weeks. But that probably has something to do with the surreality of the whole situation and being in such a non-Western place. I do know what it's like to be illiterate now though. I can't read a goddamn thing here yet and it can be very frustrating (i'm sure you know what i mean with all of your travels and such.) Grocery shopping is quite an experience because i generally don't have much of an idea of what i'm buying is. If the front picture looks good, it's in my belly...mostly.

Thankfully (for me at least) there is a big American presence here and at least once a week I will be able to get to an American Ex-Pat bar and be able to not talk like a retard to get my point across.

There's a ton of this city to explore yet and my journals are sure to speak all about it. TTYL.

I've decided to roll back the all lyrical profile, and return to a broader based, referential substitute for original thought or wit.

As I am lazy, this will happen gradually.

Carry on.

Of course she is! My mum's beautiful.

Well the "lot of practice" you've had is bearing big juicy fruit.

I swear, if it wasn't for folks like you keeping it real in the politics threads I'd be going through monitors from skull bashing them about 3 a week.

Cheers.

I was on my way to work this morning, stopped at a light where a young hispanic man was sitting in the intersection waiting to turn left. Apparently he reconsidered, because all of a sudden he throws his car into reverse, floors it, jams on the breaks and proceeds to instead now make a right turn from the left lane and swing into a convenience...

Behavioral science was invented by people like Kinsey. It didn't exist for him to get a degree in. Louis Leakey did research for 20 years before getting a terminal degree. Mary Leakey never got one and Jane Goodall's is honorary. Stephen Jay Gould's degree was in paleontology but his chair was in zoology and his primary area of interest was biology. You simply can't judge academic career tracks of sixty or even 30 years ago by modern standards, and you can't bitch that Kinsys didn't have the "right" degree and championing a critic doing neurobiological "research" with her TV degree.

You fucking rule, that is all. smile
