I wanted to travel to Japan with a good pal of mine, but he let me down a few months before. Then I wanted to fly alone, so I booked the flight and my first hotel in Tokyo. But then, two months before my holidays, my mother told me that a girl, daughter of distant relatives of us, was planning to fly to Japan, too. So I phoned her to get some advise and tips. The girl, Kathi, told me she couldn't fly because her friend let her down, too. So she asked me if she could join me. I said: Pack your bags, let's fly! We met only two times prior to our vacation, but we got along with each other really well!
So it was just two of us, not a group. We booked our hotels and ryokans in advance and bought a two-week Japan rail pass each.
We had booked only cheap accomodations, with two exceptions. We spent one night in this exceptional ryokan.
whats bubble tea? when i was out there i also passed kobe via bullet train. i did also go to osaka and himeji though... strange. Himeji castle is pretty cool.
