The weekends are the worst. I can't spare even a minimal amount of money to go anywhere. I wind up thinking about things that make me sad.
I'm always grateful for our ability to discuss certain personal things in our lives with each other. The ease with which I'm able to do this is a tribute to how much I trust you and feel a closeness that shows me how real our friendship is.
I'm able to recognize the difference between relapsing with my depression and simply feeling sad. I think(hope) what I'm feeling at this time is simply sadness.

You may have a point about the flip flops, but they're really practical.
We are generally not allowed to wear any shoes on the boat I work on. And I have about three or four armloads of equipment I tote on and off every day. Being at the docks or on the boat all day I usually am barefoot most of the day.
At least I put something on when I go other places. Which is more than we can say for a lot of people here.
