The MS Security Summit was pretty cool we walked away with a cloth tote (from TREND Micro) full of various demo disks, trials, tutorials, how-tos, and so on.

There were four sessions, each an hour and a half long. At the start of each session, you felt fresh and new. Youd been moving around, had something to drink, visited the rest room, etc. The first...

I had almost the entire afternoon off from school today because we just had a quick demonstration of our project in IT Project Management. I came home, and at about 4PM or so, decided that I would lay down for a bit. I curled up on the end of my bed, fully intending to rest only for a few minutes. Naturally, I fell asleep.

I...

I was delighted to find Avenged Sevenfold swag in the mail today promotional tour posters and little tour flyers. I was supposed to hand them out at their show, which was last night.

Mighty helpful, huh? Guess I'll find another way to disribute them.

I went to a party after work on Saturday, and hung out with some friends I hadnt seen for a while. Wed been there for just about the entire afternoon, and things didnt pick up until around 9-10PM, because people were getting off work and such.

So, as my room mates band finishes playing, I head out the door. At that point I was extremely...

Maybe "Car Accident" was only pretending to be passed out. Often acting asleep or staying still will make the predator turn away from it's prey. heh.

Next person you tell the story, try it from a National Geographic standpoint. biggrin

The following was written by State Representative Mitchell Kaye from Cobb County, GA

We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain...

I like those...and yeah, in a perfect world we would need neither to read or write something like that because we would already know. It's good to be reminded.

So when's the next F.O.W.L. meeting? tongue

A band saw broke at work today. Actually, it broke yesterday. Im guessing it had something to do with the *foom* sounds, small pops, and sparks shot from the motor.

I was charged with removing the bastard from its mounts and figuring out if it was salvageable or not. Turns out the motor was fine, but the wiring had blow itself to shit. One of...

No matter what load size our washing machine is set to, the goddamn thing fills the drum up until it overflows, spilling water all over the utility room. After combating four or five monumental floods this week, and a no-show from the elite complex repair team, weve hijacked a washing machine from a vacant apartment below us. The front office claims that an individual known...

yes but i need to go to the one in la. i got my ticket actually for the may 21 show. but i dont want to go by myself. i know that if i can't find anyone else the chances of me wimping out are very big, and that if i did somehow manage to get the courage to go i'll be way too shy to talk to anyone.
prockg:
I would try to act sympathetic about your washing machine problem if it wasn't so damn funny wink

I have a lack-of-caffeine-induced headache.

In other news, I have a foot tall stack of stickers from the local Warner Bros. Records rep that I am to whore out to the general public at shows, malls, etc. I have stickers for The Living End, Muse, Secret Machines, Adam Sandler, and, of all things, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. He also...

hey punk. you can move it over, if you want, no problem. i'm not really too concerned with the point system. i didn't keep a back up of my original post. If you'd still like me to rewrite it, just let me know. I realize that it has something to do with my mom, so coming from you, might be funky. but if you don't care, neither do i.

I seem to have what I'd like to call Focused Narcolepsy - that is to say I am able to, via some subconscious power, sleep twelve to fifteen hours at will. I did so last night.

I went to lay down at about 3PM, closed my eyes, and was out after several minutes. I wake three hours later, decide it's just not worth it, and...

Well arent you lucky to be able to sleep for that long. I wish i knew what that felt like. I havent slept a solid night in two years. Unless you count the one time it was drug induced because i had just had surgery. Enjoy the sleep thing while you can, because someday it will be a distant memory, and getting 3 or 4 hours of solid sleep will be considered a good nights sleep.

unfortunately when working freelance in film you're paid on a 'net 30' basis. It really sucks because they always wait til the end of the 30 days to pay, or as of late, go two or three months to pay my arse.
