UPDATE! tongue

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I was going to just leave it with the update but I figured that I should do more then that. Not a lot to update about really. Just another quiet weekend at home. But after having the last several weekends doing work related stuff its just what I needed.

The big news is I'm going to be flying up to...

Thanks... I'm going to stick it out for a little bit to see if this feeling passes. But if it doesn't get any better I might have to start re-thinking my plans.

Have lots of fun! Give her an extra hug from me and Karen!

Yesterday was Tuesday making today Wednesday and tomorrow Thursday, what this has to do with anything I don't know I just thought that I would point it out. Today I had to go in and update a few things in my military record that kind of hit me as being a bit morbid and raise the whole I'm not going to live forever thing up...

nice update
fellonearth:

I fell asleep waiting for you to update. Oops, I guess I shouldn't talk. Hope everythings peachy in the desert. [How about that heat?]

OK so the whole Speed Racer thing was a bad joke, no the speedo does not go that high, and yes the van is governed to 97 mph, and yes I did get a ticket. The simple fact is that after making this run week after week after week it gets pretty routine and lets face it the desert is a pretty wide open place...

fellonearth:
Bum deal about the ticket. Any chance on getting it waved? I mean, you could just say it was government business, right? If they ask any questions, just say "I'm sorry you aren't classified to know". Ok I know that's bullshit and it would probably land you in the nasty 'ol brig, but wouldn't it be kind of fun? No? Eh. So Johnny Law finally caught up with you. At least you didn't get rear ended wile in the drive through at In-N-Out. Actually, on second thought, your situation is worse (I got away without any damage to my car, my spare tire saved me!) biggrin I knew that thing would come in handy some day...
fellonearth:
So, what's up doc? How have things been? Any chance you'll be able to sneek down for the weekend? It would be cool if you can, but I know how it is: subject to the service of the Navy. blackeyed I guess it could always be worse. Well, just thought i'd swing by to say hey. Now it's your turn.

schiavona:
I'm just amazed that the speedometer has a 200mph mark on it. eeek
whitewidow:
I don't know what you are trying to prove by going that fast.....trust me when I say that I am NOT amused by that NEITHER impressed by this act of stupidity. Sorry for being so harsh but if you ever die because of your driving I'll never forgive you!

Well I guess since there will be iquiring minds I should post what's up. Where I work there were 4 of us that put in for a school, one of them was pretty much going to get it since he was on the waiting list since last year and then there were the other 3 of us. We had to put together packages (applications) for...

It's Thurday this means that it was an extra early day in at work so I could be on the road by 0500 like Tyrone Bigums on his way to the 5:00 free crack give-a-way. Some where in the mix I had forgotten that I had swapped out duty weeks with someone so that they could do something that came up short notice and totally...

Oooo, very good point. Dye would certainly hose the next person too, and that's the sort of instant karma you really don't want. eeek
fellonearth:
Speaking of karma, both Mom and Mak had a very bizarre trip up to see our sister. (And it all hinges around some old suit cases from Kuwait). It's a long story, but definitely worth asking about (it involves flying luggage, car accidents, semi explosions and hotels that permit puppies...) and that was all on the first day! I hope you have a good weekend.

SCORE!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin

Not once but twice in one day! biggrin Not only was I able to get my glasses fixed I was able to soop them up a little bit too. (ok I know that this sounds weird but its true) My old glasses were stripped out so that the screw that held the frame around the lens would pop out at the most unfortunate times. Like...

shocked Ok, inquiring minds want to know rpg, what's up with the definition?!? I must know! Seriously, you should mix some sort of foaming agent with it too (like alka-seltzer) the detergent thief gets a really nasty surprise when he goes to (oh wait, is that a communal washer?)
schiavona:
Yeah, I understand. It would be great to experience everything you can while in the military. I wish we could just convince people that killing others is not such a great idea. I really dislike radical wackos. frown

Good news with the glasses. I really hate when I'm working and my glasses keep slipping. I think I need to get some that grip the ears a bit tighter and stay on better.

As for karma...well, it's their fault for the theft, so if they steal a jug of dye that you've harmlessly set out there it's not your fault. If you really want to make sure of no karmic retribution you could put a sticky on it that says "Do Not Take". Of course, I'd put that on all of them, just in case it does work. wink

It's Monday, not that it should be unlike any other Monday, but this was the Monday after I drove all the way down to Camp Pendleton and back the day before. I had to drop one of my more favorite providers off so that he could get in some predeployment training before going off to the sandbox. That's the one thing I really don't like...

Make sure to take lots of small moments in September with WhiteWidow to just sit back, relax, and take in the moments. Remember these moments cause you're getting married to an amazing person, and you really want to remember this as fun. wink
