OK I am late on my weekly post, but I've not only had duty this week but I have had the week from hell... The world has been conspiring against me for some reason, karmic payback for some sin in my past life, of just some cosmic way of fucking with me at the worst time. I could complie a list but that would just...

My eyes hurt after reading all that. eeek wink

It's always rush hour in LA... don't you know that? wink

Oh for the love of...!

If all of this is being done in advance so you have an excess of karma for the wedding then God itself should come down to officiate. Sheesh, what a rolling nightmare!

Thanks god you're out of there Monday.

I know you two will have an amazing time, lots of fun, and lots of love. Truly wish I could be there for you in person, but I will be in spirit. Enjoy the hell outta your wedding, relax, and let all the rest roll off your back. I'm looking forward to being "subjected" to hundreds of pics from the event.

Have a good trip.

Oh, and say hello to your grandkids for me! biggrin

Yup its Monday again, it seems like I'm managing to update on a weekly basis. I guess that's better then going weeks on end without saying anything. Today I took care of the last of a couple big things as far as our upcoming wedding so I'm pretty happy about that biggrin I'm not so happy that today being Monday the world had to throw me...

The say that absence make the heart grow fonder... Your's must be ready to burst, I can't imagine how the following months are going to be for the two of you (being apart). But enough about that, it's almost 2 more weeks until the big day, Woohooo!!!

I see Felix finally took a hike after pacing for all those months... Either he remembered where he left his magic bag of tricks or his legs gave out after all that waiting... (Just a bit more to go). wink Take it easy until then mon frre...

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! (mine's in just shy of 5 months)

I looked at the calender today and realized that there are only 26 days till the big day biggrin Everything seems to be coming together great, all the family that I really wanted to be there is going to make it as well as my best friend from way back when I went to summer camp in what must have been 3rd grade all the way...

It so sucks that after you two get married then you still have to be apart for a while. It's bad enough to have to have a long distance dating relationship, but marriage...bleh! Shouldn't be allowed.

it's amazing how fast the days go by when you're planning. Before you know it, you're on your way to say 'I do'. But it's the best feeling ever. I'm so happy for the two of you biggrin

Monday.... wait it's Wednesday but it may as well have been an extension of Monday two days running. Yesterday was some what of a cluster fuck. I had to make my weekly trip down to 29 Palms a day early this week due to a command uniform iinspection. For this drive I am required by a written instruction that I have to have an "A"...

Monday... Monday always seems to bring about new problems, challenges and delemas, today was no exception. I had a report that was due on the first that got handed back to me and I was told to rewrite it so it wasn't so formal and cold. whatever Its the military, and I know we have become a bit kinder and gentler but come on! Its a...

Monday, Monday.....reminds me of a favorite song.

Isn't it nice, when you're coming to the end of a term and know you're moving on, that you can put the screw up's in perspective and not make them rule your life?
schiavona:
Got to love the age old fight between tech support people and network people. Each one finds it easier to blame the other than actually sitting down together and figuring it out.

Congrats on fullfilling your dream to become a pirate! How sweet that must feel now. Can you get a regulation parrot to put on your shoulder? Or even fly a pirate flag? Aaaarrrrrrgh! ARRR!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! ARRR!!!

I hope that everyone else is having a happy and fun Halloween, I got stuck babysitting a pager. frown Oh well I guess if I wanted to get Thanksgiving off I had to take the week that had duty during Halloween. Only regret I have is that this is the 3rd one I have missed out on in a row. Next year I will...

It was broght to my attention that I have seriously been neglecting my journal, both here and on myspace... Granted the last time I updated here was on the 15th, I think that its been since the begining of September if not longer for myspace. With this being the case I'll try and take baby steps to make updating a little more regular. Maybe 1...

For some reason I can't seem to shake the image of you strapped into a cigarette boat racing along the coast after some bad guys. [Que Michael Mann Music] biggrin Well, I'm not exactly sure what to say... At least it's San Diego? Ok, so you'll be closer to "home", I admit I can stop smiling even if I'm sorry you didn't get exactly what you'd hoped for. Also, don't feel so bad about not posting a journal entry, I'm usually negligent too (and almost no one ever leaves a comment, almost... wink ) Well, take it easy bro. Oh, it was alco nice talking to you the other day, I'm still trying to figure out how we ended up talking about Japanese Kanji and other odd stuff... Oh well, bye.

I guess that I've gotten kind of bad about updating things on the computer lately and replying to any comments that people have made in my journal. I don't know why this is but it seems to be happening a lot. Our wedding plans are going along pretty smoothly, and things are starting to finally look like they are going to fall into place. I'm...

$37 retail, bill the armed forces $12K, sounds about right to me. biggrin
schiavona:
I'm still amazed that people do this to the armed forces, but even more amazed that there are people who just accept the bid and think it's a good price. Please. Shop around people. whatever Thanks for saving the tax payers some greenbacks, man!

Glad the wedding plans are going well. It's hard enough to plan one normally, but across two national borders makes it even more so. Well, no matter what, the important thing will be that you two get married, and laugh about anything that doesn't go quite right. Something always goes wonky on the day, and for you guys I know it'll be something insignificant, and hopefuly funny. biggrin

Whoa an update! Sorry to be MIA so often lately but it seems like I keep having to get up earlier and earlier for work all the time, and just when things seem like they're going to go back to a somewhat normal state something else gets thrown into the mix. Fun Time Navy! All I've been able to tell myself all...

Until you have to work 12 hour shifts and then short change 5 hours between some of them I don't think you should complain. Did I mention to you that I am now working weekend flying for the next 6 weekends? puke

I love my job I love my job I love my job

Sounds fun and exciting. I bet if you make a game out of finding out who belongs to what and what it's doing on your desk, you could actually have a bit more "fun". Flying, eh? shocked Man you've sure got the coolest fiance.

mad BASTARDS!!! I just made a nice long entry about everything I did over the last few days only to find out that I wasn't logged in, how could I make an entry if I wasn't logged in in the first place???? Sounds like yet another problem with the new format... TECH SUPPORT!!!!

Well I guess I'll try and have to recreate it as best I...

shocked Hmm, it's been a while since I've Dive Mastered (much less been in the water - over a year now!) To be honest, I'd miss SCUBA diving too, I think I got burned out DMing and working in the dive shop (plus the diving along the coast of So. Cal has been unusually bad for me - poor vis. & spooky divers) Now if I were somewhere a little more warm and clear (and I could afford it), I'd be there... One day...

Anyways, back to business: Fwew! Low key it is then. (That's a lot of pressure off of everyone). I knew you'd say that. Pizza & Beer it is... Ok, maybe something a little more, but I'm not too sure what just (yet). Hmm, maybe you'll be surprised, though you'd probably be happy with just some chopped bait and fremented barley water. biggrin

Hmmm.... Well at least its been less then a week since my last update.

I'M GOING TO CANADA TOMORROW!!!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

It's about time too, it seems like its been a year since I've seen my baby, and its only been since the middle of June. I thought that every 3 months would be an easy thing do stick to and the time wouldn't seem so bad...

I suppose that I should update more often, but lately SG has seemed like it's pretty far from where the rest of my life has been and I tend to forget to at least say something. Yeah, sometimes SG is really far from my actual life, but that's one reason I've treasured it so much...it's breaking me from a routine and making me look outside my little world here and expand on a lot of things. I know what you mean, though.
fellonearth:

The "War on Terror" rages on and sailors, soldiers and Marines are still dying, what a waste of human life, I just hope that when history looks back on this time its not seen as something that was a huge fiasco.

Dude, Vietnam. Sorry, but most people viewed that war as a huge fiasco. Today people are already calling the "War on Terror" a huge fiasco (and some might go so far as to call it a fraud). Don't worry though, history will be kind to those who have fought and died (it always is). whatever Of course that will never bring back those who are gone, nor ease the pain and suffering of those who live with the pysical and emotional scars and distress of the times. *sigh* If people are going to look at what is happening in the world today, I hope they can say that the world has changed so much (for the better). As it stands I think the world is pretty fucking far from ok. Much needs to be done before I can even begin to feel comfortable with what's going on around the world. Ho hum.

On another note, I'm glad you found your ring. At least my rummaging around beneath the sink (braving a foulness that I'd rather not repeat, nor remember) wasn't completely in vain.

That reminds me (ok, no segway here, just sheer randomness), here's that video clip of Thor I'd mentioned while we were looking at the power tools in Lowes:
