OK stupid is as stupid does.....

When your out in the desert where there are thorns the size of 16 penny nails it makes sense to take a spare tube or a patch kit at the very least, and even then a cellular phone would make sense to have on you in the event of mechanical difficulties. If the average Joe would need these things...

I realized as I started to hammer up a hill today that my bike squeeks eeek Not good when moving parts make noise, that means something needs to be checkd! When I got home today I pulled out my tuning stand and started to pull everything apart. I unbolted almost everything that moved. All the suspension pivots in both the frame and the fork (yeah I've...

No worries it was a drill wink But it KICKED MAJOR ASS!!! Whoever was in charge of putting the whole thing together did an absofuckinglutly outstanding job! All the wounds were accuratly placed and represented in this drill, as were the types of injuries that would have been sustained from an explosives mishap They went...

I was like 12 with my first experience in "field first aid" with the Rangers of the Fallbrook Boys & Girls Club. I swear our mentor was "Shotgun Tom Kelly" of KUSI - San Diego kids TV programming fame, complete with his "round brown" ranger hat. We stumbled around like a bunch of twits trying to rig a triangular bandage, leg splint or stretcher out of shreds of clothing and branches. We even got simulated blood too, but nothing as realistic as your training exercises I'm sure. I can't believe I remember those days. We really kicked ass over some brown shirt Hitler Youth club, I mean the Boy Scouts of America. No merit badges for us, we just learned by experience and first hand instruction. I think I can thank them for never getting lost in the wilderness (and situation awareness). We had real Army training and gear too (except weapons, they weren't even mentioned). One of the group leaders was a Huey door gunner in Vietnam, We asked him about it and he told us this, "you know when you got em, you just try not to think about what happened to them. I don't know if I killed anyone, they just went down..." Whoa, that was a memory I'd nearly forgotten and I bet he had. Funny how kids can be so blunt sometimes. Anyways, sounds like you had fun. Also, I like the pic. I know exactly where it came from. There's a TOW launcher right behind the wall the Hummer is jumping off of. Ok I play BF2 too much.

sounds fabulous. I had tacos at a small local cafe near the cathedral in downtown Puerto Vallarta and they sure beat any taco I've ever had anywhere else.

hot sauce....I live for hot sauce! Although I will admit that Habanero peppers are about my limit. Jalapeno is mild. smile

ALL IS FAIR IN OWNED EMAIL!!

We've been doing this for a while at work, but today I took things to the next level. biggrin It's easy to do, all you need is key players (people that won't go taddle) email access and google image search. The idea is to pretty much slam your co-workers by googling an image that can be used to poke fun...

Yeah, I hear ya about using the barter system to build a deck. It would likely take me too long around here to find someone willing to barter, and I'm anxious to get the work underway. So I'll likely pay the price.

Aww, poor baby. Let Momma give you a kiss.
Sorry you had such a terrible, no good, day. Hopefully this was just the condensed version of crap you'll be getting for the rest of the week. (Good thing there aren't any clocktowers near Ridgecrest) Then again, you could climb up an electrical or telephone tower. Sorry, I shouldn't be giving you any ideas.

Such a happy sad day today whatever We lost two people at the clinic today, I'm sad to see them go, but I'm also a little relived too. As much as I liked them their work ethics sucked, Oh well.

On another note one of my better friends at work just completed all the requirements and is now a US citizen. I think that he's lived...

One more day till the weekend.... I can't wait till tomorrow is over, this has been a very difficult week for me for some reason, I go home tired as hell and I haven't been sleeping well since the call on Monday night. Today I turned the duty over to next corpsmen in the rotation, so now I don't have to worry about my phone...

smile Californiathalon: ski/snowboard the mountains in the morning, descend into the lowlands on a Mt. Bike in the afternoon, surf the breakers at the beach by sunset, go SCUBA diving in the bioluminescent brine after nightfall, and finally have some late-nite nookie with your significant other. The next day, sleep-in, then go rock climbing/hiking during the day, switch to Mt. Biking in the afternoon/evening, get back to the ski shalet in the mountains for some late-nite nookie (there's always time!) The next day, wake up, have nookie, repeat... (Did I mention I LOVE this state?) Ok, so this would be an ideal life, AND you can get paid doing it (well, almost everything unless you don't like cameras whatever or the law oink

So this Marine comes up to me and asks me if she can have some triage tags for when do a hump. Now a triage tag pretty much sums up the condition of a patient after a mass casualty event or a tramatic accident with more then 10 people... What in the hell are they trying to pull out there is what I want to...

So we're having these new AC units installed at the clinic (and it's about time last summer sucked bad) and the crew doing it is supposed to be doing it all this weekend. So being part of the duty crew I have to take my turn being there just in case they need access to any locked spaces.

I go in today at 6:30 and...
