I always dread the run up to Christmas. Going to work and coming home in the dark. The cold biting wind. The worries about $$$. Arguments with the Wife. Eventually, we have a few days off and I get into the spirit. I am always thrilled by Winter Solstice, knowing that the daylight will start to lengthen. And the last couple days I scramble to...

I am a Gentile on Yom Kippur. I have my issues. I drink too much, I like my cigars, I have lied from time to time to my wife, my friends, myself. I am hoping god is a god of Mercy since i have not lived up to his call. But this is who I am. I functional alcoholic, two weeks away from being a...

This morning I have my first interview with the adoption agency. I am really not sure what they are going to ask, so I feel like I am going into this cold. I am sure it will go well. Then it is back home to continue work on the church stewardship campaign. That means lists and phone calls and deliveries this afternoon. Tomorrow I am...

Wow. It was a pretty good week. I went on a date with BBFK to see the New Star Trek. It is really good and I would go see it again in IMAX. I found myself fascinated with this plotline:

They are soo good together.

On Tuesday night, I ended up with free tickets to see the Nationals play (and loose) to the Pirates in...

Oh Phil, we're so on the same wavelength! That duffy song with the star trekkies is so cool! I really enjoyed that movie though I found kirk's son a little irritating - but then hey, that was the point. I used to see Toad perform in Boulder CO back in the 80's - sweet you unearthed that video as well!

Have a fab long weekend! MUah! kiss

I saw the new Star Trek movie today. I too am fascinated with that plotline. I can't wait to see how it develops. That sucks, that you can't work from home for a while. frown Hopefully, it doesn't last long. I'm glad you enjoyed your baseball and concerts. Talk to you later. smile

It has been a busy couple of weeks. I went to NH for a little R&R, then to PA for some baseball, and finally back home to see my BBKF. She is 19 weeks pregnant with twins now and the specialist (today) said that all is well. She still needs to stay on bed rest for the foreseeable future, but Moe and Curly (the placeholder...

Heading to Baltimore today for some R&R. Plans include seeing my friend Lisa perform in Fells Point, seeing two of my good friends from High School, checking out the music Sunday Morning at Druid Hill Park, and going to see the Dresden Dolls on Sunday night. Then it is back to work on Monday/Tuesday with a 2 day conference with the managers in the regions,...

3 more days. Busy today at work. My carpool got pulled over this morning because we didn't have 3 in the car. I am not on good terms with the driver so secretly I am happy she got the ticket (even if we were late for work). I had some friends come over and move the Armoire from the van into the house. It should...
