No, Ray is with a promotional company and a manager, I doubt he pays for his own guys, he's trying to make a career, and they'll throw money at whoever will go against him it seems.
When I went up to see him (though it wasn't really for him, more the main event) they had three guys drop and had to get in some random guy from Duluth.
That was before "the dive heard round the Northland" that a guy took in Fargo.
They are bringing in guys from all over to fight him because most want no part --- and he's still not even a prospect to be honest. They can't get anyone to really take him yet or get him work, it's a shame.
Oh, and my gym and promoter/friend passed on him. He went to them first before they turned him down or perhaps I'd spar him once I get settled.
