I chose not to have children, not because I don't like them (I really really do!) but because I saw myself being much more of a career person and I didnt want to give the remnants of my time to a child. I've always been okay with the decision forever and ever but in these creepy times of myspace and internet stalking I'm extra relieved that I don't have to deal with that. I don't envy parents who have to protect their kiddos from this shit day after day after day because it seems the freaks are just multiplying exponentially. Good for you and what's-her-face for staying on the same page with your girl. I know it's hard when there's personal stuff that keeps you from being friendly, but it sounds like you both have your eyes on the common goal: keeping your girlie safe from the freak factor. Way to go, Mom. She WILL thank you for all this later. ♥

I am so done with my teenagers mouths. I have no more control except to take away the cell phones.
It's my youngest that has this mindset (thanks to the older ones) that she can simply get away with such ugly talk. Then she regrets when she wants to do something that I remembered what she said.

Interesting is they will not speak to me like this in front of other people. This tells me they know exactly what they are doing is wrong.

Im going on this long train trip with all of them. As a mom I want to make these memories, then I hear the complaining that they dont want to go.

Then they do. Then they dont. I have a few weeks to either change the trip up with or without them.
I'd feel badly if I went without them YET I WANT TO.

Then I feel guilty for this. I mean is it a vacation or a long drawn hidden plan to "lets push her off the train" kinda trip for me?

What's going on with the planets these days? It seems like everyone is juggling something!
My appointment with the OB went well. He's nice, very laid back about vaginal breech birthing, and believes I can do it. JUST LIKE I DO! I must admit I was disappointed when I spoke to a midwife Tracy at Andaluz Water Birth Center and found out I could do HOME breech in OR. Yet I'd be mins from a hospital there, and I live 45 mins from everything here in VT. So I guess it makes sense.
Anyway, I'm feeling better about the process. I have my support system in place and I'm starting to visualize a butt first baby coming out my vagina. LOL

Hello Buttercup. Sounds like life is really keeping you on your toes lately! In a wonderful way, of course!

So my friend had her beautiful son yesterday afternoon. I have already held him twice. Today he even stayed awake for me! So precious. New life is just breathtaking.

So... a week or so ago we went to the Egyptian Museum in San Jose and I had hubby take these pics for you. It was hard to capture, but they are pics of a replica of an ancient Egyptian birthing room. I thought of you when I saw it!
