Someone wrote this to me yesterday, after I told him about the new job with EA:

'That's so cool you're gonna be programming games for them. And no matter how hard it may get man, don't give up. You now have a job that many people would kill for.'

I'm going to print that up and frame it. That will help keep things in context,...

YIPPPEEEEE!!!!!! Holy Cow, that's awesome!

Aw, have fun in L.A.

Are you excited?
scatmonkey:
I was going for "all time" kind of thing. Ones from when I was a kid eat up a few spots. 'Sides, "Top five" ain't easy. In retrospect, "Top 20" would have been more accurate.

Los Angeles is too sunny and the majority of its inhabitants are plastic. I so want to move there. frown

More bran. Can never have enough bran. Unless you have enough to go from "regular" to "unstoppable".

Yeah - sardines and rice just bring me back.

And how can you tell me a filipina cannot eat sour? The basis of the pinoy pallate is vinegar and calimansi!

Last night, I dreamt of a bearded homeless guy wearing a tattered purple evening gown and a winter jacket, who was handing out packets of chocolate mints while telling people that he invented cocoa butter.

In other developments...

I still can't give you complete details about what is going on, but I got a call last night, and now, I am flying out to LA...

ok, so:
1. Knowledge and wisdom.
2. Gosh, that's so hard to pick. April 2nd was a damn good day. I'd probably relive that one over again.
3. Really far. From Atlanta to NH.

I've got good news and bad news.

The bad news is I can't tell you about the good news (yet).

The good news is the kind that is making me do Gene Kelly-esque, click-your-heels-in-the-air leaps. smile

Stay tuned to this space for updates.

Edit: BTW, screw the PRC. I know the Dalai Lama says we should show love and compassion while embracing all of humanity, but...

First, they freeze the caramel.
The chocolate is poured in to the ice cold molds. They then heat the underside (which is face up) put the frozen caramels in, which sink downward, until they reach the solid cold chocolate.

The chocolate is then cooled.

I have this theory about the women for whom I have developed infatuations. See, the women I seem to fall for are either inaccessible or unavailable. They have significant others or they live thousands of miles away or, in two cases, they are lesbians. My theory is that by pining for these women, I can project whatever fantasies I have about their perfectness as a...

Well, I didn't get to see the Dalai Lama yesterday. I was sick with a serious case of sushi poisoning. If your tuna roll starts to smell something fierce, don't eat it. Lesson learned, grasshopper.

In other news, I've decided to get a maid. Domestic chores are for the birds.

'It was natural for a warrior to be rebuked for not taking respectable care of his sword. Likewise, human beings must be urged to cultivate an attitude of polishing themselves and achieve tempering from facing hardships. The warrior aspirant incapable of such disciplined evolution will never become an exceptional sword.'
