After a few weeks, prepro stinks. I want the tools done, I want the libs from our middleware vendors ready to go, and I want to get writing stuff.

I couldn't sleep last night. The near-death experience yesterday, the second I've had this year, made me too pensive to relax. I've wasted time and effort on people who, frankly, have not justified the attention I've lavished on them. I have fooled myself once too often this year into thinking someone was reciprocating feelings that I was expressing, whether through words or actions.

Well, no...

'As soldiers we have been used to moving mountains to protect our own sovereignty or risks to our way of life. In the future we must be prepared to move beyond national self-interest to spend our resources and spill our blood for humanity. We have lived through centuries of englightenment, reason, revolution, industrialization, and globalization. No matter how idealistic the aim sounds, this new century...

So the Sleater Kinney show last night at the Fonda was fun, in spite of former SG member buttonbutton making fun of my infirmity. She does a pretty good impersonation of Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, though.

I have been to numerous concerts in my lifetime, rubbing shoulders with all sorts of people, male and female alike, and up until last night, I had never...

James Lipton *is* a ham. I like when he asks the girls about their tattoos, and makes thinly veined propositions..

Okay, you voyeuristic fucks, here are some random and uninteresting bits about my life:

- I broke my finger again yesterday whilst executing a throw. On the bright side, Sensei said I was ready to test for shodan (first degree black belt). Ninja-riffic.

- I bought some frozen calamari rings from Whole Foods yesterday. What the fuck am I supposed to do with calamari rings?...

Ok, so:

1. man, that's cool. but not about the broken finger. ouch.
2. you can either:1. fry them, or 2. put them in some kind of seafood stew. 1 would be easier.
3.babies. yes, babies are good.

"I never make sycophantic comments in someone's journal of the forms 'You look so hot in that photo' or 'I am blinded by your brilliance'. I think a lot of people on this site suffer from unhealthy levels of narcissism and of self-absorption, and I refuse to feed those twin beasts."

We call it SuicideGirls syndrome. It affects members and girls alike. People who are abhorrent in real life have high egos because of this site. It's ridiculous. So many people have problems with it.

I spent my last night in Toronto watching 'Cinderella Man' with my parents. During the 2.5 hour film, my mom 'clucked-clucked' during each scene that portrayed poverty during the Depression and my dad whispered questions in Tagalog when new characters appeared on the screen. Afterwards, I swore to myself I would never be embarassed by my folks. God bless 'em. smile

was the film pretty good overall?

The sun is shining, I'm staying in an apartment that has a super view of Toronto and I have no plans for my birthday. Between the new baby and people working, I think no one will remember. It'll be very low-key today.

BTW, I want this:

JLA/Avengers

Have I ever told you how nice it is to have you around on the site? I love hearing from you. smile
