I was talking to a photographer who organizes pet fairs, transports for vets, etc., and he said it must be harder for a doctor to lose a human patient, which really surprised me, but of course I disagreed. I've seen vets after they've lost their animal patients and their loss is just as great. Yes, there is a cat overpopulation, but there is a human one, too, and awkwardly distributed on the poor planet, at that.

Thank you, and as an EMT you probably understand. I am beginning to seriously doubt humanity. OK, maybe I already did, but after hearing CAT people advise me to euthanize her or get her leg amputated, and after a number of people told me that MOST drivers who hit animals just drive off (!) We saved a three year old from a nightmare lastnight. She was a cutie, poor thing was scared to death. FD to the rescue!!! Stuffed animals make everything better.
