I played the best damn guitar the other day. Everything about it just seemed to melt into my hands. I really like the guitars I own (I think I'm up to 11 now) but there really, honestly was something to this one that just seemed special. It was as if the neck was carved to fit my hands. A guy and his son came up...

Congratulations on no cancer, in any case. Yer too young to go through chemo and whatnot. Not fun stuff.
I really am sorry about that job, hopefully the employment situation isn't as shitty down there as it is up here in Oregon. My brother is out of work and regardless of his resume hasn't found anything for a LONG time.
I'm sure it'll work out for you. Keep the faith, brothah.

My leg's coming along okay, but it still feels like something is *wrong*. My legs have gotten knock-kneed over the years to compensate for my kneecap being in the wrong place, and since they moved the kneecap, I can feel tremendous pressure on my leg. I've got a feeling this surgery isn't gonna be enough.
I'm also at the stage where I feel good enough to do stuff, but get fucking exhausted so fast. It's frustrating. I live with my mommy right now, and I'm 21 years old and unable to do the stuff I want to do. It makes me whine too much tongue

re: unemployment, IS it enough to live on if you've gotta?

So another summer another lay-off. No big plans for the summer...money is fairly tight but hopefully I'll qualify for unemployment but I have my doubts since I'm still getting checks from my old job despite not working. I need some good road trip ideas on the west coast so help a brother out EL SUICIDO LOCO

Well, they decided not to just up and replace it. So, they cut off that bump that's below your knee, and screwed it in somewhere else. Then they took that big tendon that runs along the left side of the leg, and cut it off, moved it over, and sewed it back down.

I'll keep an eye on shows for you, just so I can get a leprechaun-piggy-back-ride.

I would crush you. Oh yes.
swingkitten:
I could! I could smush you!
Though you'd better come soon so I can prove it- convalescence is proving to be awesome for weight-loss. I actually checked, and in the last month of laying flat on my fuckin' back, I've lost 15 pounds. Mostly from my arse, sadly wink

Anyway, I'll expect to hear if you decide to make a trip- maybe I can even convince you to come to karaoke night or something, hmm?

You what really scares me....good things. I've spent years upon years devleoping my ability to cope with bad things in pretty much all aspects of my life. I could get dumped, fired, have my car broken into and have my band implode all in the same week and not blink....but if more than say one or two good things happens within a month let alone...

I really want to start building something. I really like my job but at the end of the day I have no idea what I've done for anybody...maybe I've helped a few people maybe I've scarred others for life....I just don't know. I'd like to hold something tangible and honestly know if it's good, bad or otherwise. I'm looking into some books on understanding tube...

Someone called me a beautiful boy the other day. Now I have a certain sense of self-confidence about a few things but my looks are not one of them...you have no idea what something like that can do for a person. So here's to saying nice things to people! I'm becoming a big softy the older I get...oh well. EL SUICIDO LOCO

Ever feel like the universe is just plain pissed off at you? Not that things are going bad but just that everyone seems mad at me...not in any overt way just little stuff like never receiving any emails or phone calls. Even people I write don't write back. Everyone seems to think my opinions of late are stupid....maybe I'm losing my mind like Charlie in...

So let's see...second verse same as the last 20-million. We lost our new drummer again. Well he kinda half quit and we kinda half pushed him out. He really wanted to do a lot more touring than we were ready to do. The other band he joined is decent but pretty bland. I've seen them 3 times and couldn't remember a riff of theirs to...

The whole hipster thing in NY was out of control about two years ago -- not too sure ifs just died down or if I just got used to them. I do hear its even worse in Silverlake and SF than over in Brooklyn.

mrsister:
hey thanks for your message. i realized that i apparently did something wrong after my posting was blocked from being commented upon. i better not get banned, that would be totally lame. i was simply pointing out a seriously noticable fact that there are no actual plus size models on the site. people have a real misconception of what plus size is. size 12- is NOT FUCKING PLUS SIZE - i am size 16- i am not huge, but i am plus size. not one model is as big as me, i checked before i made the statement. people need to stop hating the messanger.

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy....okay right about now nothing could cheer me up.

1) My roommates mom died Wednesday night. She had been in a nursing home for awhile but still...it must be hard to lose a mother even when it's a strained relationship

2) I thought I threw my back out the other night...but I didn't it was kidney stones! Wooohoooo! I...

I'd like to thank the thousands of you that wrote....worried to death about my absence. I was off defending the american way...either that or my computer wasn't working for awhile and I was too lazy to get it straight...I'm so easily confused in my old age.

Since it has been awhile I'd figure I'd start off with an old classic....complaints about my love life. An...

Yup there is a Canadian army - and all 3 of us are pretty good at our jobs too! wink Seriously though yes I am in the Canadian Military, and the medics up here are trained as paramedics as well as nurses so I can do pretty much everything but performing surgery on my own.

I always thought every country had an army. Thank God Canada doesn't have enemies! smile

The Worship of Silence is back (like anybody cared). We have a new drummer and our return show is the night before Halloween at Kimo's deep in the heart of the tenderloin. Bring ear plugs....it'll be plenty loud!

I don't do much posting on here anymore...I still check it fairly regularly...mainly the psw group and the musician/guitar groups but that's about it. I feel a bit bad in a way...now that I'm seeing someone I just don't feel the need to post as much. I never hit on anyone here or tried to even meet anybody from here but I feel like I...

Being from texas we were always into the Zorlac stuff. I liked Jeff Phillipsand had one of his sticks too. And then there's Hosoi (who just got outta jail, BTW)... biggrin biggrin biggrin

Too many fond memories. Thanks, Man.

I bought my first Hammerhead deck last month. Its a reissue, of course. Im gonna hang it up on the wall of my den. My first Hosoi was the Sims rising sun model. I remember the Roskopp series well *sits back in rocking chair and reminices about the good ol' days*.

I do the same thing with guitars now too. biggrin
