I had a royally shitty day at work, after a very difficult (cathartic) meeting with my therapist this morning.
then I went to my favorite joe stop in town on my lunch to talk with my favorite barista (baristo?) and he melted away my stress with chai and a smile.

he is doing things that require such strength right now.
I know he wants those system SUPER bad, but as our schedules are so opposite from each other, I feel like I'd see him even less. 'Course he'd try to get me to play, and I'm just not good at those things at all...except Frogger. I kick ass in Frogger.

I am fascinated by post secret. I think it is a beautiful project, and Frank Warren posts real, genuine, beautiful art. I got the book, and it I was even further impressed with the project. it is a work of art.

That's a BEAUTIFUL bag. I always envy people who are creative with things like knitting or sewing or cross-stitch. My mom and grandma tried to teach me to knit and crochet years ago (actually, they tried and tried and TRIED repeatedly) but finally my grandma pronounced me as too impatient and gave up. My mom, on the other hand, was far sweeter and just said that God just gave me a different set of gifts and skills and not to feel bad about the handwork kind of stuff. It wasn't until years later that I realized she was talking about my skills as a musician. Guess mom handles the "visual" art and I get to handle the "auditory" art.
Knitting is all the rage again, isn't it? One of my best friends is a middle school teacher and he says they have two knitting clubs that are HUGE!! That's so cool, if you ask me.

We went to this place on 36th near Roger B. Chaffee yesterday and picked out the tile for the bathroom. Evan liked the small glass tile so we're gonna go with that. It should look when it's done...in about a month and a half!

Yes, I did actually see your Badlands set last month, but went back to see it again just now. My favorite is probably the second to the last one (59). yay for mosaics and art! i wish i could be creative with stuff like that, but unfortunatly, i have all the artistic talent of a llama's scrotum... =/ still...i bet your art is fantastic...i wish there was some way that i could see what you've been working on...
