I did my time as Little League mom. It was sort of a pain, but it meant so much to him. And then somehow, I because the scorekeeper. This was good, because it would keep my head in the game so that I talk intelligently about what he had just done when we got home. My ex-husband was the manager of his teams, so that made for some good comedy moments for the other parents. 
3 months and 2 days before I turn 30. Somehow I was thinking I had four months to go... now I'm a bit panicked. I'm going to have to bust my ass a bit to lose 20 lbs... but I think it can still be done.
