hmmmm...not sure about the new site yet. i looks ok, and seems fairly easy to use. i just wonder whether all the extra "mouse clicking" will put you people off from commenting as much...and you know how much i like to hear from y'all... smile

so, England has finally got its summer - which is a good thing - but is accompanied by the world cup...

Oi! I wanted to comment but couldn't be arsed with all the extra mouse clicking whatever

You be careful what you say about we football fans! Nah I know what you mean mate, you get arses in every walk of life an football just seems to have more than it's fair share! At least you know 1 cool, nice, friendly football hooligan RIGHT wink

I like little sweaty men in ramones t-shirts! wink
richie6fingers:
ha ha that's a cool feature
it's funny being able to look back at conversations you've had
(when you said " i was one of those twats on the beach " - reg: FatBoySlim)
i think that was the first comment you ever left me biggrin

boozy twats are a pain, aren't they
and even when they're not pissed they seem to feel the need to communicate with each other via a series of low barks and grunts at unnesessary volumes
why ?

unless something earthshattering happens music-wise in the next 6 months, i've a sneaky feeling that for me, 2006 will be all about THE DRIPS! biggrin

the April show was pretty gobsmacking. then we all got hold of their rather astonishing album.

6 of us saw them in April (me, tony, carmel and dave, plus a couple of daves mates) - last night we got in...

HAHAHAHAHAHA OMG that was fucking funny... biggrin

I just went to see "THE OMEN 666" and chuckled through most of it....

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

i can't see the point really. its not a shot-for-shot remake, but its definately a "dialogue for dialogue and scene by scene" remake of the original. its not remotely creepy. the jumpy bits are comedy jumpy bits. they've added "oooh, weird!"...

i must admit, i'm quite enjoying sifting through YouTube for band stuff. i've stumbled across some well rare and random stuff on there (early live Black Flag and X, Letters To Cleo, Blondie).

but this is one of my faves. i loved this video when i first saw it, and never saw it again. i know Blink 182 aren't exactly cool or hip or whatever,...

would be cool to hook up with ya in gulltown when you're down (if you're free to do so). will ponder interesting places and events...
off the top of my head, i'd inevitably go for prince albert pub, ali-cats (a basement bar that shows free films every night and has a 5-hour happy hour), and also me mates Thumpermonkey are playing Engine Rooms on 27th. There'll no doubt be plenty of other things you could do... even just aimlessly wandering round brighton can be nice when the sun's out smile

so the Ben Weasel book was really short, so i finished that last night...it was excellent though, and fucking funny. biggrin

also, the Bullet Treatment CD was only 12 minutes long eeek - so i've listened to that a few times now.

time to find something else to do...hmmmm confused

see, the trouble with updating after a big SGUK meet is that everyone always posts more or less...

another great weekend had by all...esp McK, whose birthday bash we were at on saturday night and sunday afternoon. biggrin

also went and saw Anti-Flag courtesy of the lovely Jackie (with Sky in attendance), who were great...apart from the comedy mohicans and insincere ranting between between songs

"You rock London!!! This is the best night of the tour! George Bush sucks!!!" tongue

they got some damn...

Thanks for making me feel so welcome at the weekend. I had a really good time.

I am really get into my book about the WM3 but I just cant believe how insane the whole thing is. I will def have to get the DVD's too.

I love Henry Rollins Writing but I havent read Get in the Van. I have had really trouble trying to get hold of it

The madder the films, the better as far as I'm concerned, as long as they're clever too. Donnie Darko is another one I enjoyed a lot. smile

so, heres some random bits and pieces from last week...

last night, me, tony, chris and yeoman went to see Bullets To Broadway at the Camden Underworld.

i'd been looking forward to this since i discovered Teen Idols a few years back, and the fuckers split up. i'd been keeping my eyes peeled, so when three of the original Teen Idols reformed as Bullets To...

It was lovely to see you again! I hope you had a good weekend and drunken shouting can be funny, but you're right; I wouldn't want to do that all the time. wink

I haven't seen the photos yet and am dreading them ever so slightly. Oh well, time to bite the bullet! biggrin
