On my end, I just finished the Wall Street Journal baseball beatwriter's book on his first season of high-stakes fantasy-baseball, and I'm slogging thru a book I bought on title alone: The Romanian.... I had no idea that the protagonist would, a, be homosexual, and, b, have frequent liaisons with a gypsy man-whore.... I keep reading for when I'll eventually get to the history lesson contained in the book: detailing Regul Carol's (King Charles's) frustrated relations with a Jewess in the run-up to WWII. Eventually, eventually...
But, right now... I liked Brokeback Mountain, don't get me wrong, but this book I'm on now, it takes the ghey several passes further.

Alas my guitar stayed in it's case, too afraid to come out and be molested by me.
Actually the band never arrived and I didn't bother to go to that particular pub in the end because of that.
I'm off to the south of Spain, Murcia to be exact. Have been there in December and it's a nice place. Full of crazy crazy Spanish people...but show me some Spaniards who aren't batshit insane.
Hopefully it'll be a nice successful little trip. And not a disaster like the past few days.
