Getting Things Done really helped get me organized and be more productive. If you have most things scheduled and organized then you don't have to keep thinking about them and therefore you will be less stressed.

My experience has been that time is going to get used up, one way or the other. When I was racing, the need to be focused on that primary avocation seemed to help organize the rest of my life. When I stopped racing and ostensibly had much more time on my hands, less concrete stuff seemed to end up actually getting done.

So, I guess I would say my formula for when I was the happiest and felt the most favorable balance in life was to enjoy my job but not take it home too much, have one great passion for a dominant avocation that I take most seriously, and let all the other interests sort themselves out in a natural process of fitting in with those two major elements.

Unfortunately, after I stopped racing several years ago, I haven't had much luck finding a new paradigm that works as well as the old one. But I just learned the other day that it's possible I may have an opportunity to race again next year in the specific type of cars I love. Sometimes things work out on their own, even if we can't figure it all out. smile

I love all Rob Zombies work, I barley rented Halloween two... his movies scare me at first but then I love them and watch them a hundred times over and over.

I worship Mr Zombie, but this movie kind of blew balls. There were some creative and disgusting kills but...I found the whole movie pretty bleak and depressing. I really didn't enjoy it. I'm still really stoked for Tyrannosaurus Rex though.
