I had guests for the weekend and my house is TRASHED! (not that is was that clean when they got here) An old roommate and old friends and new friends. It was good drunken times but now I'm feeling it because I'm aparently old. lol. I was so lazy and now I don't feel up to picking up the tons of mead, beer and other...

Next time you do something like that, I'll bring some concoctions of my own if you call and invite me! smile

How can you be old? You're younger than me and I'm not old. I can't be. Can I? blackeyed

Even if you were getting old you'd be the most gracefully aging woman ever. blush

I've been really busy, we have a show at the end of the month and I have to make costumes and practice and whatnot. Lots of crazy. I've been sewing so much I feel like my creativity is zapped which is not the best thing in the world. There is a song we are trying to coreograph and it is so slow and has such...

edit:

I found out what you're talking about, so nevermind.

I MIGHT be able to make it to that. It depends on what happens with my friend who I am supposed to visit at the end of the month. If he cancels on me, I might make a trip to the P-town

Goddammit!! This is a period of breakdowns for me. First my car, which I am happy to report I have fixed myself to drivable. I spent $700 on parts and installed all of the ones which don't require special screwy tools to do. I decided to just pay a shop to handle the complicated stuff and decided to have a pro do the brakes. I've...

About 3 years ago the Jehova's in my area found out I was Buddhist. Lord....they've spent the last 3 years trying to save me.

.....misguided.
dash_____:
I had to write a chapter on the Jehovah's Witnesses for a book I did recently. They made me grumpy as Hell. mad

Their theology isn't so much the problem as their complete eradication of the individuality of their members. And their anti-intellectualism.

And yet, Prince is one. (Michael Jackson, on the other hand, I can see....)

Has anyone ever managed to contain a cat?

I have a beloved cat who is declawed (no I didn't do this to him, he was like this when I got him) and insists on going outside. I have spent over $500 this year on vet bills because he is getting into someone's yard and being attacked by a dog. He had his butt/tail area ripped...

just do exactly what you'd do to a human male who didn't behave in the way deemed best for him. cut his balls off. that'll learn him.
thedarkwithin:
you can buy a synthetic scent that is just like the phenemones in male dog urine. . .people use it to keep cats from coming into their yard and using their flowerbeds as litter boxes. . .if it keeps them out. . .maybe it would keep him in too. Scenting the top of the fence so he thinks there is a dog outside.

I went to the SG Burlesque show last night. I met some of the girls who all seem to be really great.

It was the first show and hectic more on the club and crew end than on the girls performance end, I think a couple shows into the tour will probably smooth out the rough edges. I did not get to see much because...

It's ok. Thanks for letting me know and I'll keep it in mind when I talk to you online. We should organize a stitch'n'bitch sometime.

so sad that I couldn't make it to the Tucson show. I was silly enough to not buy a ticket in advance. *smaks himself on the forehead* d'oh!

Thank you everyone for posting your insights about the whole age thing. No man in my life has made me feel bad, it is more when I go out. I remember a time when I could walk into a store and get free stuff or discounts just for being cute, and go into a bar and have a dozen drinks sent in my direction. I...

Hell . . .if you walked in. . .I'd give you anything you wanted for free :::looks around quickly:::: want a mouse pad? Half a can of pepsi?

But seriously, beauty is a perception not only of physical attributes or style. . .but also of soul. Sometimes guys shoot for the least common denominator because looking further implies they are getting older too. Sorta tha same reason so many yuppies on viagra drive hummers. . .
rainbing:
My thoughts are pretty streight forward. When men (well, maybe just people) are young, they have no idea which way is up. So, they mistakenly assume youth is God.

The truth of the matter, is that the only men who really want young women are too young to know the difference. At some point, you want someone who is comfortable with themself, mature, and knows the ins and outs of their OWN body as well as yours. You dont' find that on many youngens....

Why do women loose so much value after they turn 28? Seriously, it's like men will go gaga over a marginally attractive 18 year old and completely ignore an attractive 30 year old. All of the life experience, mellowing out, education and maturing, are perpetually discounted because somehow a woman has passed her expiration date by 29.

1. You're sexy as hell and over 28. And you'll be sexy as hell FOREVERS!!!!!

2. Thanks for everything you said. I am glad to know that there are other women backing me up with my Pap post. I hope NO ONE has to go through this shit (or worse) EVER EVER EVER!

At present, by the grace of duct tape and bailing wire redneck style fixing ingenuity (not really duct tape or bailing wire, but an expression I like to use) my car runs at the appropriate temperature and without leaking. But redneck fixing really gets on my nerves even if it is my own redneckery at work.

I have about a dozen little things I would...

I guess my car troubles are not over. I cleaned out the water pump and replaced the obvious hoses but it turns out the problem was a 1" long bypass hose which costs a million dollars to fix because it is located in a place which involves removing the radiator fan, the serpent belt, the water pump and a bunch of other stuff just to...

hehe you go..fight the man!

Me, I am usually too lazy. I figure for a fine that little it is worth just paying to avoid going to court. I will make more than that at work and it is not worth giving up my vacation time to go.

Man, what a couple days. Yesterday was bad in general I had to go get my car emissions tested again since the first time they failed me because they would not accept my $25 in green and $3 in change. Apparently $3 in change is not really money as far as they are concerned. While I was waiting for my turn again (grrrrrr.... It already...

My suggestion: Use it as an opportunity to shoot your next set.

But then, maybe I'm just a perv who wants to see you covered in grease and sweat. wink

I think you were in the right with your friend. I don't mean to talk trash about people, but seriously. Have a little common-respect.

I actually got into an argument at a store one time because I was buying something with Pennies. It was like 5 dollars worth of pennies. The lady behind the counter was all bitchy, and said I couldn't use them. I Told her that it was legal tender, and if she wanted to make a big deal about it, i would like to talk to her manager. She backed off right there, and took them.

sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope all else is going well, though.

I had a perfectly fabulous weekend spent with people I really enjoy. Sometimes there have been periods in my life when I have found myself sucked into people I tolerate as opposed to people I enjoy. Those times are, of course, a result of my own weakness or neediness at the time since no, sorry, I can't is always an option but at times mustering...
