No shit, that was a crazy rainstorm last night. It really pounded the hell outta us, and striped huge sections of mulch off our "yard". Guess I need to get some more mulch. Damn! 
We're heading to Ashboro Saturday to drop off the pottery wheel then on to the zoo. Ya know, I've lived in NC for 14 years and have never been to the zoo. Should be a good day for it.

Went to class last night, but found out when I arrived that teacher was taking us all outside to take night shots. Unfortunately, I did not bring my tripod.. (minor prob. ) or my coat.. (larger problem). should have been more prepared, could have been warmer. now i don't feel so great.

Got off work early Fri. and was fortunate to shoot some pictures with one of my "mentor photographers" as a model. It was an awesome experience. Kind of surreal, because it fluctuated between a shoot and a class, as she was giving tips and teaching styles in between my shots. I learned alot, got some homework photos for my class, and some great new images...

Yeah, that was me yesterday. I guess it was food poisening from something Wed. night, but I could barely even turn over without getting sick and felt like there was a sword twisting my guts in a circle. busy-busy Had my first photo class Thursday. Teacher moves along quick and is very involved with our class of 12. Seems like it will be everything I hoped it would be. So along with my 2nd job on Sun-Mon-Wed I still have Tues evenings free and lunchtime on Sat. Any ideas on how to fill those "holes" ? (in my schedule !)

Big weekend for me ! Turned in photo contest pics at "DSBG.org" Went to see a real ballet with two lovely ladies. and went to view the McAdenville lights in Gaston Co. ( oh yeah, then worked 9 hrs Sun. ) here are some pics - i had fun chasing the ducks around the pond trying to line them up with the colored water fountain....

Say, got any pointers on taking true-...? I'm not sure what term to stick here: true color? true-to-life? eh. I want to be able to take night shots that reflect what I actually see at night, meaning not the usual over-exposed long-exposere shots. And, alas, I know diddly about exposure time and f-stops and all that important stuff.

I was thinking the other day that I want to see a ballet/symphony/play sometime soonish. I haven't been to any kind of stage production since... prolly the mid 90's. (I'm not counting college productions or concerts in which I played). I've never seen a ballet. Hmm...
