I really think I need to go out and do something this weekend. Dancing and drinks anyone?

I was thinking the same thing.
radiofrank:
I'd go out for a drink, provided that I could make it back here in time for work on Sunday. wink

Withstanding my bodies cries for respite, I force myself to endure the heat and the thirst. The thirst screams thick in my mouth and is only subdued temporarily by focus and purity of thought. Lying in the waters, I feel as steel in a foundry, being slow tempered by insidious heat. The conflict of what should be relaxation being twisted into an ordeal of my...

You have to decide the wear of the shoot; and right now I'm not working so the when is very flexible. We also need to talk about compensation . . . .

I stand ankle deep in the ruddy slop of snow on the shoulder of the road, and watch the crush of cars flow on the road like piles of corrupted and vile blood of steel and plastic. The exhaust tastes filthy sweet in my nostrils and I look to the scabrous growths on the ground. Asphalt infections spreading out as far as I can see,...

Watch out for your the way you pattern your adjectives (go through with a highlighter and you'll see what I mean--adj/noun, adj/noun, sometimes less is more). Also stray from any word that ends in "-tion": it means it's an abstract concept and thus both 1) vague 2) really hard to deal with.

Good that you are using smell and touch though. Too many people get stuck on sight.

I agree with radiofrank.

I really would like to go out and have a pint or two tonight, possibly go dancing and such, but all my regular associates are busy with their respective ball and chains. So now comes the dilemma of what to do for the night...

If I didn't need the paycheque so bad, I'd totally play hookie from work today, sleep in until the late ol hour of ten in the morning and then spend the rest of the day watching seasons one and 2.0 of Battlestar Galactica.

nerdiness within!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
There's one character that in season one I believe says 'oh my god'. singular. not the...

Helen Tigh reminds me of Lady MacBeth, to tell you the truth. She's nuts.

Baltar probably isn't a Cylon...he's just a damn traitor/collaborator. The Cylons view him as the "hand of God", and I wonder how that will come into play as things go farther along.

I don't know about Starbuck, though. The Cylons removed one of her ovaries while she was back on Caprica, so I can only assume that means she is human. I think the fascination with her has to do with what they found out about her ovum - perhaps it is something along the lines of their interest in Baltar? She found the Arrow of Apollo and brought it back to Kobol, so it might have to do with the search for Earth.

[end geek monologue]
radiofrank:
Yes, they did say that she has a "special" destiny...but considering how religious the damn toasters seem to be, that could mean just about anything.

It's a long shot, but who knows? I wasn't expecting to find a Cylon among the Colonial News Service, and yet there she was.

...and I've been saying frak for weeks on end in place of the usual profanities. I need help!

Considering I haven't updated in almost a week, youd have to either assume that I've been very busy, or that I am just a lazy prat with nothing better to do than sit around in a ditch sticking berries up my nose. (jokes on me though, there wont be any berries on anything for at least a month) I think it's been a bit of...

He outweighs me by a solid fifty pounds, and he's built like a superhero (and not one of the agile type superheroes like Spiderman either) so I know that the odds of muscling my way out of a tight spot is tricky. His hands go for the wrestler style clinch on my neck, one across the back of my neck, and one on my bicep,...
