Funny how things work...maybe it was subliminal...but I listened to London Calling today for the first time in a few years and I found myself singing along to "Hateful". Hadn't even made the connection until you pointed it out. I don't know any of the parties involved, but this whole recent situation is very over-wrought with drama and stinks of the kids turning into their parents. I'm fairly certain nobody here comes to the site to have a finger wagged at them and to be lectured at. I find it funny to observe how when there are deals to be negotiated and $$$ to be made, people who have carefully cultivated an "alternative" image suddenly morph into three-piece suit wearing paragons of PC morality. Funny in a sadly ironic way. frown

Sunday evenings at about 4:30 - 5:00 are my favorite time of the week. Especially when the sun is still high enough in the sky to cause rainbow-colored prisms to shoot through the crystal ball in the window and splay out on the walls. The cats chase them sometimes, and it's fun to watch and laugh.

Right on! The wifey and I from day one(7+ years ago, now married for a year ) have never wanted any children. Our fam is each other and our two cats; that's it. That is how it is gonna stay. The 'rents still pester us about it, especially my side. I have told them time and time again that if they really want a baby around they can go adopt one.

Are we selfish, do we feel empty, are we just lazy or self absorbed? We do not think so. We are nutz over each other and love our life just as it is.

I think that our relatives are actually selfish since they do not seem to care about anything we ever want. They WANT grandchildren, They WANT us to experience the love of having children. They WANT to see THEIR family legacy continued. Fuck all that. Both of us would likely be great parents, but that is not what we want and it our fucking life and decision. I have no problem with anyone that desires children, Mazel Tov! However, we do not want to be looked down upon because we do not.
